I'm building a Painboy on a Bike. However, because the Ork Warbikers kit is so expensive ($14 per bike), and the Warbike becomes a major modeling element making it slightly harder to spot the painboy at a glance, I wanted to put the painboy on some other mode of transportation.

I was wondering if anyone had tried this or if anyone had some recommendation of where to find the substitute warbikes.

If I like it, I'll put a Big Mek with a KFF on something similar

I... actually don't know. Help?

I'd love to see a painboy on a Segway.

Some kind of suborned Tyranid monstrosity? A Ravener perhaps? Its a painboy after all, what use is mekanikal gubbinz to such as he!

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Back in the olden days, GW did a huge choice of character 'legs' including a motor-unicycle, which with an ork torso on top seems a great way to represent a painboy who's replaced his own legs to go faster. Something like that would be pretty easy to scratch-build.

Or if you want to mimic the shape of a bike more, perhaps a single low section of track and say 3 roadwheels, like on the back of a snow-ski. (Especially if you can find GW's old IG tank wheels and tracks sprue bits.)

Or go organic: either him riding some odd creature which he's captured and tamed (perhaps surgically), or he's surgically attached his upper half to e.g. a boar or giant spider or wolf, creating a centaur-style chimera.

Take an attack bike, make the Painboy ride on it, and a Grot drives...

Use a wartrakk. The painboy drives, and the patient lies down in the back between the treads. The orderlies can fit in there too!

This is exactly what I was looking for. In fact, I like it so much I think I might make a whole squad of 15 mono-wheel warbikers if it is the correct size.
