All this Infinity talk's got me curious. Who's sculpting and painting these minis?

Patrick Masson is doing a lot of work for CMoN these days. I don't know if he's responsible for all of them, though.

Big Child Creatives is doing most of the Dark Age studio work, I think.

Nice. I might have more than one Dark Age models soon. How do they compare to Infinity sculpts? Okay, unfair quwstion given how Infinity fluctuates between scale and proportions, so: Would the Ravages fit next to the Reverend Healer as killer nuns?

GIve me some comparisons you want to see and I'll snap some photos.

The O:IS Nomads (or similiar sized light/med infantry )would be good, since those are the only Nomad models I have so far

These are highly close to the second best sculpts IMO (Infinity first)

I know the rules are free (still?) but is there a good how to play video out there to show the game?

So, who are the spacemen looking dudes? I think my Nomads might need to hang out with them.

The guys in orange armor are a new sub-faction for Forsaken. They belong to some dude named Saint Isaac, who apparently is an engineer who finds a huge cache of technology before the planet was abandoned by the united federation. He figures out how to get the robots, armor and guns working.

The 'Saints' in the game are all basically charlatans who use religion (or are used by others so) to wield military power in the human civilized survivor faction. No idea what else is the deal with Isaac, as that's all going to be part of their new book.

I really do like Dark Age. It scratches an itch at being kinda like how Warmachine used to be, but at very small scale (~8-15 models typically). It's fun to play and lose, since even the winner usually is decimated down to half their force or less in even a sweeping win.

Seriously, pick up a few models and it's a fun game. It's got depth but can play brutally and stupidly fast. Faster than Infinity even.

Way too many oddly proportioned females for my tastes. Also, the unrolled centipede looks like a droideka from the Fail Wars (AKA Star Wars Prequels).

Are these metal, resin or plastic?

Our positive energy has attracted the attention of a deep one.

Metal for all the human sized minis I believe. Not sure if resin was confirmed for the bigger beasts and mounts.

Mounts are resin. Elementals are typically resin. Dust bull is resin. Most of the larger core mecha are resin.

Disregarding WTF factor of the initial the statement (I'm entitled to my tastes and opinions as much as you are to yours, buddy boyo), thanks for the info.

EDIT: quote added for clarity.

You never need to justify being a servant of the elder gods, this is a safe place.

This has got to be the most (presumably) succesful game that I've never seen played, or even for sale in a store.

Is it typically played on a 4x4?

It's a 4x4 game. Their scenario packs all specify that.

Can it be purchased anywhere other than direct from CMoN (and ebay)?

I've seen it at 4 FLGs in Southern California, so there have to be distributors around with it.

Game Kastle in Fremont and Santa Clara
Comics Quest in Irvine

Great Stuff. Watched them all and would love to try it out. Think it needs more exposure atleast US side as its kind of a pain to get models at any bit of a discount. Miniature Market, im looking at you!

Yes, this game and miniature line definitely deserves more exposure and attention!

Gen Con 2015 is a week away, and Dark Age has several events during the convention. For those new to the game, the Build N' Play event gets you a starter set and the tools you need to start playing. We also have a 500 pt tournament and the Immortals Tournament. The winner of Immortals will work closely with CMON to put themselves into the game as a custom figure!

To see all of the DA events, go here:

Was really going to dive into the game but seeing they are following the infinity resculpt path, I'll wait it out and buy the new stuff

Would love to see as many people as possible at the Build and Play area.

And I'll pimp it here, too:

CMoN will be doing an "Ultimate Gaming Challenge" at GenCon, a program we field tested at Origins.

Basically, for a single ticket on any given day, you'll be given a gaming passport that you can have stamped for every CMoN game you play. Each Unique game you play is worth 3 points, and you get a voucher for every 5 points you accumulate.

Vouchers can be redeemed both in the gaming area and at the CMoN booth for promotional models. The voucher breaks down a little like this:

1 Voucher - Single Boxed promo figures like Zombicide Survivors, KaosBall Ringers, Rivet Wars Heroes, and Arcadia Quest Champions

4 Vouchers - Small Boxed Promos like the Arcadia Quest Nameless Campaign

6 Vouchers - Large Box Promos like the KaosBall Zombies team or Zombicide Moustache Packs

10 Vouchers - Kickstarter Promotional Sets like the Fugitive Campaign Box from Zombicide or the Blitzkreig Box from Rivet Wars.

I might start this as a new thread as well, but let me know if you have questions.

Could Dark Age get any Better? Holy gak!! They just entered the realm of greatness, only one other game is so beautiful with their sculpts, and that is Infinity. Hopefully soon the Brood, and Skarrd get there well overdue re-sculpts and then this, (Dark Age), will be one of the greatest games ever made!

So am I the only one that is super excited about Saint Joan? Who cares if she is not mounted. She is Bad Ass enough. Her Faction reminds me of The Redemptionists from Necromunda. Saint Joan will baptize all in Fire and Wrath!!!

The amazing sculpts available at GenCon..... http://cmon.com/dark-age-gen-con-indy-2015-pre-releases/
