Just finished this one today. I wanted to mimic the ornamental parade armor from the middle ages and evoke the sense of regal arrogance of a wealthy house. The gold scroll-work are fingernail decals which were surprisingly easy to work with. Eyes are a simple LED circuit powered by 3 volts.

Comments, suggestions, etc always welcome.

Those decals are crazy, I wish I would have looked for something like that.

Very nice work. I would have never thought of using those decals. Something to consider in the future for sure.

I'm not much of a fan. I much prefer my Dreamforge Leviathan. However, the genius of using nail decals is undeniable asked your paint work is solid!

I agree. I can't think of any other single kit that has inspired so many creative and varied examples, and it shows no sign of slowing down.

This one is awesome!

Really nice. The color palette and shading really captures the tone of 40k.

Probably why I have not done mine yet: too many decoration options.

Nice job! Really liking the golden effect - and i think you havent over-done it eigther, the pattern fits exactly with that baroque armour feel you were intending. Kudos!

edit: wait, fingernail decals? wow, didn't expect that! well, kudos all the same for re-purposing an existing product!

That's about eight kinds of awesome. Great work with the weathering, details and all the rest of it.

It's the silver trim that really makes this model pop, if you ask me. Great contrast to the red and gold. You've also done a great job on the weathering - present, but subtle enough that you don't quite notice it at first. Excellent work!

Innovative idea (nail decals) and great execution (paint job quality)!
I agree that the aluminium/silver (?) trim really makes the the paint job pop.

Funny enough, I would have chosen 1 full pauldron and one full leg, to make it looks as though the family pulled expensive cloth over the armour instead of covering some bits and pieces everywhere with the rather fancy ornaments.

But that is purely a question of personal taste / vision and you did an awesome job! Top marks!
