The foot test is phenomenal. It should be beautiful when implemented on the whole model.

But... But... None of those paints were gold. I smell witchcraft! UK Dakkanauts, put Tommie Soule to the torch so I can feel better about my mediocre skills. I mean, because he consorts with the devil! Let him finish first, though, so... umm... yeah! So his heresy is fully brought to light!

Looking very good so far and like Darth Bob said, any tutorial or pointers you have that you've used to achieve such effects are welcome.
I don't think there's anybody on this site who would turn down that

looking good. just the rest of that leg, the other leg, the torso, the arms, the sword, the details on the sword, the face, the cloak, the other details, the other other details, some other details, some more details... AND youre done!
Youre almost there!
also i would like to buy this, i have a tournament on the 22nd, can you have it out to me by then?
I can offer you double the cost of this model (i hope you found it cheap somewhere), half a box of space marines, a dante (broken), a marneus calgar (broken) and a mostly used up pot of altdorf guard blue.

That's fething heresy, there's no other way to explain how those colors become one of best looking gold I have ever seen.

I got the next leg half done now.
You may also have noticed the feet are different. This is because i was undecided about the first foot i did and i think the second foot wins.
What do you think?

The second foot looks like a much deeper, older gold. I think both look great but I do prefer the second one.

I like the first better, but purely out of preference for the pale gold tone. They're equally (absurdly) well-executed

When I first wrote that message, only the original image was up -- there were no NMM effects yet, not even the second pic with the first foot. The model is fantastic! Can't wait to see it finished.
