So I just got a unit of plague drones as a gift. I am wondering the best way to run them?

Are they worth giving a command?

How about their upgrades. Is the poison attacks worth it even with their s5 attacks?

I haven't starter to build them yet but don't want to until I see some ideas. Thanks!

I'm not a daemon player, but this thread looked lonely.

3 plague drones look like a support unit to me. As such I wouldn't upgrade them unless you have points to spare in your army list.

Well I was thinking the standard for the bonus combat res seemed useful

Depends on the rest of your list. If the drones pair with a block of say plaguebearers, the block will probably have a banner, and thus the extra is redundant. If they fly around solo, or support daemon princes or GUOs, then the banner would be useful.

If supporting a GUO or Prince, you want a unit champ.

What about the musician. Ever worth it?

3 with a muso and poisoned attacks. Pretty standard. Combo-d with two skill cannons, it's the generic rare set up.
