It seems to me that armies of the imperium have a big advantage in terms of the allies matrix due to the various factions generally being battle brothers with one other, allowing for some super powerful unit combos/synergies.

Orks don't get much love from the matrix though with no battle brothers at all, the closest they get is allies of convenience in the form of CSM. Just for fun as hypothetical situation, if Orks and CSM were actually battle brothers, what would be the most crazy cheese unit combos/synergies they could run?

As a starter one thing that came to mind would be the use of a divination sorcerer in an Ork unit for prescience to help with the Orks atrocious BS.

Dunno, maybe trukks loaded with Berzerkers or what-have-you.
Open-topped+fast vehicle+demons or crazy muhreens=dead things

Cypher in a greentide. YAY for atsknf, shrowded, H&R murderblob.

Or 20 khornate marines with a painboss. Or nurgle spawns with a biker painboss for FNP.

Ork vehicles are great for assault chaos. Something like a battlewagon or an av13 gunwagon - it's transport capacity is 10, it's opentopped and it costs 60 pts. Mech zerkers are back!

Oh, and Dreadklaw meganobz with combi-skorchas! 5 heavy flamers on arrival.

Battle brothers with CSM seems very unfluffy.
They're as likely to ally with Imperium as they are CSM. Orks are the mercenaries of the Galaxy!

Anywayz, there's always a fluffy excuse. There's evidence of corrupted chaos orks. Besides, remember Tuska Da Daemonkiller? I'm pretty sure he's more daemon than ork now. Orky daemon of Khork and Mkhork.

Tuska is the happiest Ork ever. He'd never leave the warp, he's having too much fun!

Daemon of Gkhornk or possibly Mkhornk. Can possibly get Rage and Counter-attack. Or Counter-attack and Rage.

Some great ideas so far. Berserkers or other assault CSM would be much more viable if they had access to cheap assault vehicles like trukks.
Giving spawn FNP would also be great.

I think that trukk would be SLIGHTLY targeted by the opponent, his friends, the models on the FLGS' shelf and the guys playing warmachine on the other table.
