This would have a really hard time competing against Smite, and wouldn't even come close to League or Dota 2.
Gamesworkshop video games in general are usually pretty terrible.
True but a big glaring exception is DoW.
This however is obvious money grabbing gak.

I fully agree hence the usually
Rumors on a Dawn of War 3 have been pretty thin though as the devs are really evasive when asked.

What? Strife is awesome! I have played League and Heroes of the Storm and a very few DotA2 and Heroes of Newerth, and Strife is my favorite.

FOUR SKINS FOR 125$???!!! WHAT?!
I think that green skeleton was meant to be a necron.
There better be Doomrider
As it takes place in the Gladitorial arena's and has a standard skeleton, it's more likely a Haemonuculus abomination like Talos.
Though as all characters will be free upon it's release, I wonder how it'll make money.

Yes but Dota 2 has the power of Valve and gains money not just through that but through Steam Trading, as well as pulling people towards Steam.
Though Strife seems to do it as well now that I looked into it and it's doing well so..I guess it could actually work then, neat.
Man though I want it to do well and be a good game! I know the Moba market is oversaturated like the old MMO market but I really want a 40K or Fantasy Moba to do well.

Strife is far from doing well. The game is heavily struggling to stop themselves from drowning. Player base is extremely low already. I could well imagine the game being carried by the license.

Might've been reading older issues on it then.
But yeah it could be carried longer as the MMO and WoH did, though hopefully it won't end up like EA did, considering their vastly poor runnings of the MMO.

Yeah...at peak times, EU / US servers are less than 50% full. Strife's struggling hard.
I would like to play a 40k MOBA, but those prices are just outrageous. They are even more expensive than Payday 2 prices and those already left reality a long time ago.

For me the character design/abilities and itemization in that game were not exactly cohesive compared to the current big 3 MOBAS I mentioned.
The final tier items in that game had a medium sized paragraph long description of effects that were all over the place that didn't really help your character specialize, but generalize in ways that were not useful which to me for a MOBA is bad design.

Well, I guess we have different tastes and interests. I am likely much more casual than you are , and I love Strife for its simple, easy to understand and remember item system, compared to dota and lol.

Well it will be free to play eventually and they will be giving out free keys occasionally, so one could just wait.
Though the closest we have for a 40K moba would be Eternal Crusade, which I am also looking forward to

Never really played MOBAs beside Awesomenauts, as I'm not too big a fan of being nailed to my seat and forced to play a game all the way through if I have stuff to do elsewhere, but I might take a look at this. Graphics aren't stellar, the general design seems a bit wonky and all the stuff in the store worries me, but on the other hand, it does seem like there's at least an above-average understanding of the fluff and some nice ideas for characters, so I might look it up.
