With 19/18 Primarchs, there are many Primarch-to-Primarch relationships that GW hasn't explored in the fluff.

What relationships would you like them to explore?

For me, it would be Sanguinius-Curze. I'm curious as to how Sanguinius might have dealt with Curze.

Also Mortarion-Angron. Primarchs of the two most brutal legions, I wonder if they were brutal to each other too.

Sanguinius/ Curze would be interesting. I'd like to see the Khan interact more. I really liked the scene in Scars with him, Sanguinius, Fulgrim and Mortarion.

I'm a bit curious about Corax and Russ. Haven't seen anything regarding those two.

Also, I'd like to see more of Perturabo and everyone/anyone else. Especially Angron.

(I remember reading somewhere that after some meeting of primarchs, Angron and Perturabo are seen together talking while walking away but I can't find the source material! Anyway, I want moar!)

Gods? There are no gods. Merely existences, obstacles to overcome.

For those interested there was a fan project a number of years ago that attached the primarchs to the major arcana of the tarot, with impressive accuracy. but what was important was the relationships between tarot could be used to make inference between the relationships between primarchs.

One of my favorites is Sanguinius and Curze. The theory predicts that Sanguinius would've been able to assist Curze in understanding the constant visions he was having, but that to Sanguinius saw Curze as a representation of his inner curses and it terrified him. Thus no understanding was ever reached between the two.

There's some in Horus Rising--when they fight together on Murder.

I do think it's interesting, and I would also vote for more on the Alpha Legion Primarchs along with pretty much anyone, and also Curze. The Lion and his interactions also interests me.

Were they ever all together--didn't each one of them have to climb the "Emperor's Tower" one at a time...presumably after they were found? I don't know that most of them ever really spent any "quality time" together at all--were just sent out to battle and so on?

Quite a few of them piggy-backed another Legion (see: Fulgrim) or the Emperor (see: Horus) before taking full command of their own Legion and going out on expeditions of their own.

I'm wondering what ever happened to the romance between Sanguinius and Horus. Did they ever kiss?

Just the once. Sanguinius hastily declares the Emperor is his one true love and that it was all a mistake. Horus, spurned, falls ill due to heartache leading to the events on Davin. Thanks Sanguinius!

Haven't you been keeping up with the series?

Angron and Perturabo to see if there was any sort of bond as there seems to be something there in Aurelian.

Guilliman and Alpharius would also be interesting.

Horus and Corax to see what leads up to Corax deciding to no longer work along side Horus.

I am actually quite curious about these two. I've heard that towards the end of the Heresy they weren't seeing eye to eye and that's exceedingly rare for twins and I'd like to know more. Also, we don't know what happened to them after - did Omegon go and become Janus, is Alpharius really dead? Etc.

The Battle of Gate 42 in Extermination is why Corax doesn't work with Horus. Although there isn't anything really about their interaction, but that battle is the reason why.

Damn, beat me to it!

I was about to post that but decided to check if there was any interaction leading up to Horus sending them into the meat grinder. Didn't find anything , but there's some interaction between Corax and Perturabo (Perturabo accusing him of being a coward) and Russ calming Corax down and counseling him to obey Horus.

This is also shortly after Horus was named Warmaster so it seems he hadn't turned to Chaos yet. I find this odd since the IA and other sources usually say that Horus used the different legions for missions that suited them best. Charging head-on into the enemy doesn't seem like a good use of the Raven Guard.

Will have to look at that. The IA on the Raven Guard says

The Raven Guard's records are curiously reticent concerning this period of history and Imperial Historians suspect that the taciturn Corax did not like the more gregarious Horus, finding him overly boastful and manipulative. It is rumoured that on one occasion the two almost came to blows and bloodshed was only averted when Corax removed his Legion from the Warmaster's command. The two Primarchs were never to meet again and when the Horus Heresy tore the galaxy apart in the first Inter-Legionary war, the Raven Guard was fighting alongside the Iron Hands and the Salamanders.

I just find it funny that it's Russ that defuses the situation haha. Maybe Horus was counting on the XIX legion he basically fathered before Corax was discovered, the more bloodthirsty vicious ones. Although that does seem an oversight on his part. It's a cool little story though, and I like how it accidentally culled the RG of most of the legionnaires who would have turned with Horus.

My thinking is that one occasion is the battle of Gate 42. I love how FW find little bits in the old fluff like that and go deeper into them.

Personally, I think the interplay between Manus and Perturabo would have been amazing. They have two approaches to the same way of thinking.

Again, I don't lament Pert and Dorn not being better friends. I lament Pert and Manus not.

Horus sanguinius is interesting. they were supposed to be close friends, but such was the jealousy Horus felt towards him that when it came to it, we would rather have him killed than join his side.

Jealousy and genuine fear. Horus believed if Sanguinius joined him, it would only be a matter of time before the others rallied around Sanguinius and pushed him to oust Horus.

I'm curious about interaction between Magnus and Lorgar. Magnus' (pre-Heresy) approach to Magic was very rational as compared to Lorgar's faith-infused approach to the Warp. Could have interesting.

Personality-wise I'm just not sure how they would have gotten along.

Of course I haven't completed the HH books, so maybe I just haven't gotten to the right book yet...

My two teef.

Magnus and Lorgar were actually good friends. They have a couple of interactions; pre heresy in First Heretic, and briefly post heresy in Betrayer.

some of the post heresy stuff was especially intreasting, with Magnus noting that the "gods" of the warp where "simply sentient warp storms, not gods"

It's definitely half the fun for me of reading the HH series--getting a deeper glimpse into the character and mentality of the Primarchs. I had no interest in the Iron Warriors at all until I read "Angel Exterminatus" and got to know Perturabo better. Now I actually dig them!

The Khan is very interesting--he finally made the show in "Scars" but I want to know more about him too.

On a different note, is anyone else as sick as I am of Erebus and the Word Bearers? I could stand to never hear from him again. I was absolutely delighted when it looked like Kharn was going to kill him in Betrayer...but alas! Cursed Anathames!

I agree with everything here, especially the Erebus part. I hate him so much. I like the WB in general but can't stand him. But I guess that's the point haha.

Does make you wonder why there are no female Primarchs. Not that it's particularly important I guess.

Why does it make you wonder? It's not like the Primarchs were ever going to be made to breed.

In Scars, Malcador mentions female Primarchs. He says 'You brothers, such a nest of rivalries. I warned him to make you sisters, that it would make things more civilised. He thought I was joking. I wasn't.'

Made me laugh.

........ Now we need a quote from Malcador saying, 'I told you so', during the heresy. Seriously though, I need to look up that quote - might be my new favourite for a while
