Finecast is horrible...
i have this guy in metal, and it is still a fugly sculpt, but at least it is not warped, and full of holes...
i have always avoided Finecast for myself, and now i know my instincts were right...

nasty stuff. don't get why it's used when it's such a substandard material. Pain in the arse as there are a whole pile of eldar figs I want only available in that crap. not wasting my money.

i want the latest Farsight, and Commander suit...
i'd also like a few other Marines and Ogres
not gonna happen...

i'll stick with Forge World if i want a cast that needs a ton of prep...
at least the resin is good stuff...

Close call - idiot move of the day.
Semi-kinda related to the comp. Juust got home from work. Uber tiring day. Decided it was time to give the Deathwing terms I've finihsed a spary of ye ol' purity seal. Out to the balcony, can shaken well, fig on a spar, ready to spray and just before pressing down I glanced at the can again.....'Skull White'.........waaaaaaaaaaay too close. laughing now but holy crap......

Well halfway through the month and this weekend is taken up with birthday shenanigans oh and ofc still waiting on the paint to actually paint my stuff. Provided it turns up in time I will enter as well.

BA 2nd company standard bearer. I done the base colour on the standard this morning so will grab a wip and the rest of him is in pieces after stripping. Would be great to enter, fingers crossed for a parcel early next week.

Some truly awesome entries so far guys so keep it up!

I thought Standard bearer was WHFB. Do you mean the Company Banner?

We'll I have been painting up some sternguard, I'd have to check if he counts but I'm working on what may be a good looking SGT of the first componty.

My odds on winning may be as good as a krieg guardsman living to retirement but I'll have a go.

I cannot find any of the stripper for my miniature, so I am going to enter the dreadnought to this contest.

Yes indeed, most of the model is still infact Sevatar making him a bit more edgy than your usual Imperial Fist.

Basic fluff is as follows:

Following the massacre at Phall the word of Horus's Betrayal, Cammulus was one of dozens of Delegatus dispatched by the legion to rally aid from imperial sectors in the vicinity, each bearing with them a number of the legions veterans incase of traitor attacks on their missions. However the betrayal ran deeper than just legions turning against the Emperor, worlds that had previously been brought into the Imperium by the Imperial Fists, worlds that were starwalt members of the alliance now sought to take advantage of this turmoil to better their terms. They battered away loyalties for new trade rights, reductions in Tithes, shipping lanes, where as Cammulus had once brought worlds to heel with just a word he instead now faced batering tables like some common merchant. It was in these days that his mind darkened, in such terrible times there is no room for hesitation, for unsure loyalties, he would take no seat at bartering tables, he would offer no terms. Worlds that could not, or would not swear loyalty and support for the Emperor would pay the price, in some worlds this would be the public executioner of the offending governors, in others that resisted further their standing armies would be decimated rather than risk siding with the traitor Horus. He stood no longer a diplomat but as Judge, Jury and Executioner.

And yes, Angelofvengeance, he is an old model. But, he was surprisingly cheaper than any other Dread I've ever seen. Didn't even have to strip it or anything.

Since I finished the my original models, would it be ok to add a chaos version as well and do a diorama in addition?
