This is one of my favourites from the starter set. Really dynamic and detailed!

Agreed, the DV Chaos stuff is amazing and that chap is one of the best! So often I'm tempted to start a small Chaos warband because of those guys, then I see the core CSM plastic kit and just die a little; compared to the glory of DV and the Raptors, it's just poor!

It’s bad enough I’m consorting with Xenos. Heretics and traitors would be a little too far. I keep my worship of the dark gods restricted to WHFB.

But the modeler in me yearns for the freedom of chaos. Sometimes the Codex can be so restrictive.

not being of the gaming persuasion i dont have that problem. made some chaos centurions yesterday, one of them had a seige drill and heavy bolter. muahaha

QAR I'm in the same place as you with very little gaming to do... still difficult to allow myself to make things that don't exist ruleswise, but I'm getting there, just look at my overloaded dreadnought here

Got my wolves mostly finished! need to post up some pictures Im working on finishing their bases and touching up areas where I got tired/sloppy and will post them soon!!

Paradigm, is it too early to suggest themes for the next month? I've got a few...

I haven't thought that much about the next month's themes, beyond Veteran as that was the runner up this time. If you want to throw out something then go for it; ideally it'll fit one of these categories:

Theme: such as 'heroic' or 'shooty'
Rank: 'veteran' for next month, then it could be Commander/Trooper ect.
Style: Black and white, metallics, 'night'
Wild Card: Anything goes. I'd like to avoid race/army/game specific ones since we're just had Space Marines.

Theme: Civilians
Rank: That new Guy
Style: Metallics
Wild Card: John, are you okay?

C'mon Paradigm...let's forget about voting next time and do orks...I have a runtherd I want to paint, plus 4 lootaz and a mek.
And 3 grot tanks.made out of cardboard.

I got a few ideas for the Wildcard option. How about colours? Odd colours like Pink/Purple/Turquoise. Any colour, really, that isn't commonly seen on/in mini gaming. And it has to be the model's primary or secondary colour. Make it so you cant get away with a single turquoise gem, for example.

It's when it comes to touching up/fixing small errors.... Generally there is a noticeable difference between a black painted on with a brush to a black out of a spray can...

If we're getting to paint up WW2 marines in spaa'aaace, I'm sure Orx would fit in for Orks

Also, as we near the stage where people will be starting to finish off their models, can I just ask that you make it very clear when you are posting your final pics, just so when I compile the voting thread I haven't accidentally put in a nearly-done WIP or suchlike.

Looks nice, but the edges are blurred.
