After a year and a half of swearing off 28mm because "its way too big to do anything fun and how could I have wasted so much time with it" ...I am back to 28mm.
Here are some pics of a little skirmish for Battlegroup Overlord using my newly painted Warlord minis.
Minor rules tweaks to accommodate my limited collection and prevent a game of 2 squads rolling dice at each other.
1. There are no force org restrictions.
2. Squads are combined in full (ie. BAR and Rifle) and then may be re-separated into as many teams of 3-5 models as you like.
3. Teams that are more than 10" away from their squad NCO become one less level of morale.
4. All weapons ranges are increased by 10".
As defenders, Axis may deploy anywhere in their table half if they are both in cover and 18" away from any Allied team.
Objective on the hill.

Lt. Ramirez, I got something for you. Battalion S-2 seems to think that Jerry is spotting for arty from hill 107 to the south. Take a squad up there and put some boots on that dirt so I can get these clowns off my back will ya? Engineers should be floating around here somewhere, so grab some of 'em and take some explosives with you. If you run into Jerry dug in up there bury those
where they lay and get back here in one piece. I'll have 81's cover your approach.
Roger Sir.

An

Reinforcements arrive

Combat Engineers in reserve
Not bad. Would probably play a little bit better with a light vehicle, a full platoon each, and another 2 feet of space. Once I get these new Warlord Germans in my grubby paws I'll put some more work into something proper, though I will probably get the Pacific done before they get here.
