If it was a friendly, ask your opponent.
If I was your opponent, I'd be excited to play against that! What's more cinematic and awesome than a tide of charging Orks?
I played a game against green tide before, that was so much fun, the Ork player went full tide, so no vehicles whatsoever, he was scooping handfuls of models off the table and the holes where they were just filled back in. I don't even remember who won but god was it fun.

Amen.
That is the only problem with playing with or against a massive army. No need to purposefully stall, just moving and shooting with that many models is a stall unto itself.

Can we stop the indiscriminate use of the word "cheese"? It's use is becoming more and more common. It used to be reserved for the worst of the worst- now anything that another player finds at least somewhat good is being labelled as "cheese". Not an attack on you OP just my thoughts.
Anyways no if it's a tournament not only should you bring it, but you are probably going to surprise/upset more people by not bringing your best.

Resentful Grot With a Plan
|
It is exactly how orks were meant to be brought. Sure we all like bringing the toyz but orks are suppose to be about lots of boyz. I was disappointed when they did not include grots in the green tide. Then it would have been perfectly orky. I believe that list that are in line with the fluff are not cheese.

One greentide went 7-1 at LVO. Another one went 6-2.
It especially shines in a meta not prepared for swarms - grand tournaments, for example. They're a bit too focused on flyrant spam, knights, serpents and centstars to plan on facing SO many boyz.

Man I Always field the Waaaaagh formation and have done very well to the point that my friends will try to crush it ask to fight my boyz because of how well they do. And now I have 23 wins with 3 losses and I started thinking that the green tide is kinda broken.. But you think of those space marines and all the other stuff orks don't get and I change my attitude instantly and my friends agree to bring a green tide can be mean! But nothing compared to what the astartes do. So no not really cheap at all.

I'd consider losing the Gun Wagon to pump up the Tan Busta's model-wise. Your tank Busters should be able to hide until they are needed, as nothing tops target priority over the Green Tide.
This would also give you points to buy Heavy Armour for, say, 20 Ork Boyz. If you lead with these guys, all wounds will be allocated to them. You'd be pleasantly surprised how much damage a 4+ Sv/5+++ FNP will tank for the rest of the hoard. Only the first few would have it, but it's a good idea none-the-less.

I rarely find Orks to be cheese. I find Green Tide to be really fun to play against actually.

Considering most shooting armies can drop it in a few turns and speed bumping wrecks its face I wouldn't say its too flash. Its a noob slayer, that's about it. A competent general could make it pretty good but it doesn't match up to the heavy weight lists.

Rick Priestley said it best:
Bryan always said that if the studio ever had to mix with the manufacturing and sales part of the business it would destroy the studio. And I have to say – he wasn’t wrong there! The modern studio isn’t a studio in the same way; it isn’t a collection of artists and creatives sharing ideas and driving each other on. It’s become the promotions department of a toy company – things move on!
