So I know this seems silly, as I play DA all the time, but what is the best way to fight the Biker swarm? My next opponent will be bringing Sammael, a Libby, two command squads (one with an Apothecary, Champion and Grenade Launcher), two LS with an AC and Melta, two bikes with Melta, two attack bikes with Multi Melta, the Dakka banner, and a Dark Talon.
So far, my basic plan is to keep my weak troops the hell away from his Bolters, try and kill the Meltas first, as they're what can really hurt my Grinders and Skull Cannon, then rush his bikes with my Houndstar and either shoot down his Talon or kill the banner. Thoughts?
My DP will mainly be support or assaulting weaker units, as I can't really debuff his Sammael unit due to the Psychic hood. My Flamers will also be objective grabbers, as they're only S4 AP4 and I really don't want to give them FNP.

Basically... medium strength volume of fire or anything Ap3, forcing them to jink.
If you can reliably wound them with S5-6 you will force fails on the just 3+. If you use AP3, you force a jink - which cripples the damage output. If you can use AP3 with ignore cover, well, this right there. Heldrakes murder bikes when they come in. The maneuverability of the bikes limits them afterwards, but still.
What I found to be pretty brutal is a Sonic Dreadnought.
The rest is deployment to protect your rear armor from DS, choosing your targets and playing your army well.
What does NOT work is tarpitting them as you may be well aware.

They don't ignore cover, do they? A gliding Nurgle Daemon Prince might not be hard to hit, but it still jinks at 2+, can move 12+2D6 and do a number on pretty much anything has.

keep my weak troops the hell away from his Bolters,
This isn't going to work.
With a 12 scout move + 12 bike move +24 bolter range there is no way to avoid the banner. You are best to take the banner out asap.
As with any fast shooty army, board control is everything. If you let them kite you around, especially when using daemons due to your non-existent shooting phase, then you stand a good chance of losing.
I would recommend fast and durable things.
Fleshhounds, plague drones, screamers, nurgle DPs, Be'lakor and slaanesh soul grinders.
I wouldn't worry about his anti tank. From experience the single shot of the multi meltas is unreliable, and the biker squads if shooting your grinders are not using the bolter banner.
Now melta needs a 5+ to pop a vehicle, and soulgrinders have a 5++ save with 4HP, they stand a good chance of surviving. Keep your soul grinders putting the pressure on with the rest of your army.
Your aim is to box the opponent, shutdown his movement, and then either win off objectives, or table him.
As with any daemon list, you are going to need lots of buffs. Grimoire, invis, shrouded etc will go a long way.

Helldrakes and Skullcannons are the most devastating units in Chaos arsenal against bikes.

What about the Dark Talon? I know it isn't a ton of shots but the blinding blast seems dangerous.

Ignore it.
It is only really threatening when combined with the banner.
As daemons, blind isn't too bad. Most of your dedicated cc units are at least I4, which means you only get blinded 33% of the time. Even then, its not the end of the world.

Right on. So kill the banner and then pop the Landspeeders or troops?

Once the banner is gone the basic bikers become much less of a threat. Personally I'd take out the command squads (including the banner) first.
They are the the hardest hitting units.
If you have dencent range firepower (flickering fire, possibly soulgrinders), or the opponent gives you the chance to charge, then take out the speeders, but most of the time they will be slightly under 24' away, making catching them quite difficult.

get deamon prince into CC with black knights. Profit. Focus all fire and combat power on black knights. Profit. Don't play objectives. Try to table him. Profit.

Be careful of sammael's squad though, His 4++ save, 5+ FNP from the apothecary, and eternal warrior means he has a good chance of tanking a DP, and the black knight squad put out a decent number of str 5 rending attacks, which are fairly decent vs a non-iron arm'd DP.

Grinder of Slaanesh with torrent and one with Phlegm Bombardment plus Skull Cannon, ranged is not a problem

Slaanesh would be ok, nurgle would be better focusing on the bikes and forcing them to jink imo.

That's the plan. Slaanesh is more for getting up in their face and into combat or running for possible objectives.

Hah, I'm the RW player he played and we ended up with a 10-10 draw btw!
I see how it is!
Really fun game with me running away from his hound squad although they did eat a couple speeders and an attack bike
His soul grinders made an unbelievable amout of 5++ saves and I was only able immobilize one. The randomness of Daemons helped as his pink horrors blow themselves up giving me first blood.
Good times and I'm hoping for a rematch!
