Hi dakka,

I got a bone coloured champion of khorne wristband with my GW direct order today. Is it anything special?

GW is scared of girls. Why do you think they have so much trouble sculpting attractive female models? Because girls have cooties and the staff at GW don't like looking at them for too long because it makes them feel funny in their naughty place.

Nope, almost everyone at the gw store I play at has them.

You don't have to be happy when you lose, just don't make winning the condition of your happiness.

It's kind of like a Ring of Power in Lord of the Rings, but instead of turning you into a Ringwraith it turns you into a GWombie--I mean a GW Hobbyist. Burn it! Burn it now!

Okay that was in jest. Seriously I think it's just something they're sending out.

Gathering the Informations.

It's a freebie they're sending out with orders made now.

It has to do with the fact that the final book in the "End Times" series for WHFB was released, called "Archaon".
Khornate forces feature heavily in it, and the book also features rules for three Bloodthirster variants.

They've been doing things like this for almost a year now

Ah, that makes sense. Looks like there is a small bonus for placing GW direct orders after all (did it because Lychguard and Praetorians become GW-direct only)

i ordered some Ultramarine characters for a commission back when the first End Times book came out, and got a cool free little hardback Nagash notebook...
it makes a great paint journal...

for the Skaven book, they were sending out little buttons...

i don't know if they did anything special for the Elves book...

small freebies have been going out, on and off, for the last few years...
it is a nice little surprise to get when you open an order...
it doesn't make up for the minis i ordered being Finecast though...

cheers
jah

Paint like ya got a pair!

Available for commissions.

Gathering the Informations.

The Elves, much like the model releases with the book, were nonexistent in terms of getting anything spiffy.

Just a book that sold out in under 3 minutes.
