Hello everybody,

Iám working on a project for my Nurgle army and I can't wait to share my progress and see what you guys think of it so far.

I started with a Dark Angel biker from the dark vengeance set and tryed to transform him into a Chaos nurgle biker but I wasn't happy with the end result. Looking at my armylist I decided i needed a Chaos sorcerer biker to lead my group of spawn. I had some greenstuff laying around and started to transform him into a sorcerer biker to the best of my abilities.

I hope you all like my creation but keep in mind iám very new to converting models and using greenstuff so be gentle .

This was the first try but during the painting proces i wasn't happy with the result.

I was really happy with the greenstuff results.

Painting progres: three layers of green and some purple details.

after drybrushing some lighter purples

This is my army list 2000 points of nurgle. Not even near finished but very proud of it already.

Will keep this thread updated working hard to finish him soon. All tips or forms of critisism are welcome.

Greetings Demic.

I my be the wrong person to comment as nurgle is my least favourite of the chaos gods (Tzeentch>Slaanesh>Khorne>Nurgle is my preference) but getting that out of the way I must say you got quite the beginnings of a great force here. Nurgle is definitely one of the top tier options for Chaos players (I use the marks myself, just not the models) and looking at what you got I say you're on the right path.

Concerning your biker specifically, I honestly really liked the original model you had made quite a lot, the pose with the sweeping power fist was quite nice. I'm not a big fan of the Hyper-mutated chaos stuff, I guess I'm more of a chaos renegades person than a "from the warp" chaos player. Having said that your new biker with the green stuff and mutated bits is hella badass. Very nice green-stuff work, I quite like it. Especially in your army-pic having him with the chaos spawn he blends in perfectly and makes for quite the imposing figure. I think my only gripe may be that the head you used for him (I think it's one of the mask pieces for a defiler isn't it?) is a bit too big for his body. It gets away with it cause of all the green stuff buffing him out but in the early pic right after knowing what the orginal body is underneath is it struck me as off. All in all that is a very minor personal preference thing, in the end I would love to see your army across the battlefield from mine any day of the week, great job.

First of all thank you a lot for the feedback and kind words. I understand where you are coming from with the feelings towards the warp mutations. I started out with the same attitude towards it but once i started to use greenstuff i could't get enough. I really enjoy nurglefying units.

The mask is indeed a part from the defiler set and i agree it is a bit big for his buddy but i kinda see it like a voodoo/sorcerers mask he wears because he is so deformed although that doesn't make sense because all nurgle gifts should be worn with pride .

Thanks again for the post and i will update soon, painting in progress.

Yeah he's lookin pretty spiffy, that orb on the front is begging to have some badass eyeball painted onto it, some kind of perverse joke on a headlight. Really digging your spawn models too. I haven't always been a huge fan of the spawn models but I'm thinkin I may have to go out and snag a few someday now.

I would just get one kit, build one so you can get an idea of their size, and use the bits and your sculpting skills to scratch build more. Spawn are the ultimate "I have an idea for a monster" unit.

Sadly I am not much of a modeller, I focus on my painting skills for the moment. I will be taking my first real foray into green stuff this week though (as in not using it just to fill gaps) and I'm pretty excited for that. Going to be building some Eldar striking scorpions out of a guardian box and a box of wood elf glade guard.

Sorry to derail the thread there but back on topic: Will you be making more conversions such as this one Demic25 to match into the army? If so I think a project log would be in order, I did one for my Eldar and it's a great way to stay motivated to work on your stuff and update the thread with pics. Also a great place to ask for any ideas the community may have to help with any areas you hit snags on.
