Personally, I want them to add all the other humanoid factions to the spacemarine video game for the 360. Got so tired of shooting other marines...

I would love a direct conversion of the tabletop rules. Everything gets carried over. It would be great for training in new players and testing unusual builds with none of the possibly wasted set up/modeling/money if it doesn't work out. Plus it could be used by the tabletop designers for future codexes to create better balance. I would view it as less of a game to have fun with, and more of a tool.

Basically a much better version of vassal. Make a list, play against the computer or against other people without having to leave your house. Makes for great practice. Sadly will never happen because it would gut the hobby side of things for those... less inclined.

The modern studio isn’t a studio in the same way; it isn’t a collection of artists and creatives sharing ideas and driving each other on. It’s become the promotions department of a toy company – things move on!

I think it could be a huge boost for the hobby. The game itself wouldn't likely be all that much fun (honestly, the game as it stands is pretty broken when compared to alternative turn based video games). So the game wouldn't likely serve as a replacement for the tabletop as that carries other benefits (social interaction, the actual modeling part of the hobby, the tactile quality of little army men and dice, etc). If anything players would be able to more easily figure out interesting builds that could work on the tabletop, and thus, help sell models. Plus, the benefit of introducing new players much more easily.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Space Marine game finish it's story trilogy.
But I have two wishes.
First person shooter, anything works story-wise. I'd be up for a Fire Warrior redo.
Then a table-top conversion. And maybe have an in game way to earn more models and having a digital collection. Hearthstone like. Very action oriented in terms of animations and combat. Large scale maps. It would be pretty cool.

That's how I see it as well, and set up a speed system for the computer players so you can play through quicker. To me that would be a great tool for tournament practice.

I would like to see a good MMORPG made. I would be ecstatic if a C&C3 or earlier style of RTS was made.
An RTT like Ground Control would be pretty neat too.

I wouldn't hold your breath. Most likely that game is going to blow up on launch and die in a couple years, possibly less.

All I really need is a Total War: 40k
No more of these piddly little battles with 20-100 guys, I want a line of 5,000 guardsmen fighting back an ork horde.

I think I would like to see something that would show the totality of war in the 41st millenium.
I would like to see it include a BFG style space battle that leads to an Epic scale planetfall invasion, interspersed with 40k-like play for special missions and objectives.
You would also have to play BFG missions to maintain logistics i.e. Recieve reenforcements for the Epic scale part of the campaign and unlock FOC choices in the 40k parts.
|
Armies: Space Marines, IG, Tyranids, Eldar, Necrons, Orks, Dark Eldar.
I am the best 40k player in my town, I always win! Of course, I am the only player of 40k in my town.
