So...Gork and Mork and End Times. What happened to them? They are stronger than the Chaos Gods but as far as I can see, they just do...nothing. There's an earthquake mentioned somewhere, but apart from that, they just seem to have been ignored for the most part. Unless someone else with more insight / read information has differing information?

They were not more powerful than the chaos gods. But there was really no mention of them.

Definitely more powerful. Goblins alone could easily surpass the clapping power of all of Chaos combined.

Sigh. GW just sucks at writing.

Rather than "lazy", I'd say "unimaginative" writing. The GW writers probably could find no way to fit them into the whole End Times mess and thus decided to go the traditional GW route for "inconvenient" things: blatantly ignore it and act as if it's never been there.

Same happened to Abhorash, although I think he gets a brief mention in one of the End Times related novels, but not in the actual books, and seeing how the books and the novels contradict themselves in some points (different writers without a decent editing effort behind them), who knows.

Progress is like a herd of pigs: everybody is interested in the produced benefits, but nobody wants to deal with all the resulting gak.

GW customers deserve every bit of outrageous princing they get.

From what I heard (didn't read the books myself), Grimgor was the avatar of Gork, and Skarsnik was the avatar of Mork. Obviously they failed.

Grimgor was killed, and some people say Gork was killed with him (Not sure how that works). Skarsnik eventually is simply forgotten by the story, although an interview with the writer JoshReynolds shows that was an accident or left out because of a lack of time and thus how much you should read into that is questionable. http://ask.fm/JoshMReynolds

I remember reading somewhere that they were only given a month or 2 to write Archaon so I could totally see that as why.

Shadowrun is the best game ever. It's the only thing I have ever played in which I have jumped out of a shot out van with a chainsaw to cut a flying drone in half before leveling a building with ANFO assisted by a troll, a dwarf, an elf, and a wizard.

I need a Mannfred Von Carstein meme image like the Willy Wonka one that says "That's Fascinating. Tell me more."

Zad, have you read ET: Archaon ?

(i ask because if not, i don't want to spoil anything, but its common knowledge right now that things don't go exactly great for Team: Incarnates Of which Nagash is a member).

The winds of Magic came from chaos, didn't they? fighting Chaos with Chaos doesn't seem to work too well any time someone tries.

Please, Gork and Mork are too occupied with fighting each other to take part in the End Time. Since when have Gork and Mork paid any attention to the mortal realm anyways? For all we know, all the Orcs are just having an collective hallucinations, sparked from their belief in two humongous orcs fighting each other.

P.S.: Ok, so I haven't bought Archaon, and I'm still reading Glottkin. But the collective memory of 1d4chan would tell use that Gork is dead as Grimgor is killed by Archaeon while being the Avatar of Gork. Skarsnik was probably never found thus the Avatar of Mork may yet live (and that's certainly not because nobody remember he just went AWOL, but not dead). Meaning the Orc gods have the same property as the Elven ones, as their Avatars' death are the deaths of the Gods themselves.
P.S.2: since the last page of Archaon I saw said explicitly that only one mortal being on the Warhammer World that's not in an alternative dimension at the time of the cataclysm survived, can said survivor be Skarsnik?

Gork is ostensibly still alive because Grimgor became the Incarnate of Beasts, not Gork oddly enough. So he just pooped out the Wind of Beasts when he died, not Gork.

The survivor is said to be a man, so highly implied to be Sigmar. Skarsnik looks like he went poof like everyone else, or managed to hitch a ride with Araloth or something.
