Quick, Dunewalker base is 130mm but is that Diameter or Radius? I can never recall how GW measures its bases.

Regiment: 91st Schrott Experimental Regiment
Regiment Planet: Schrott
Specialization: Salvaged, Heavily Modified, and/or Experimental Mechanized Units.

So the Skitarii troop box comes with more than enough heads and arms to go around. The main thing we need to expand the box are torsos and legs. Any suggestions as far as those pieces go?

I have a mess of Brett Men at Arms (fully robed bodies) but haven't tried them yet. They're 3rd in the queue at the moment.

I used Victoria Lambs penal guard torsos on whatever legs I had lying around; the various guard legs i had I cut up and combined with Anvil's small bionic legs. I then added Anvil's reactor backpacks.

Definitely would like to see more models like ^ for Kastellan proxies. I'm not really liking those models at the moment.

Baron Vladimir Harkonnen. This model looks just like I had envisioned him to look when I first read Frank Herbert's Dune.

That is pretty much what I thought too.

For Kastellan proxies how about:

The description states 8cm, it should be close i think.

Or wait for robotech tactics to come out with a Queadluun Rau suit, should the right size.

FInnaly got my own DT walkers in.

Ill get a comparison pic for the Onager Dunewalker when I get one for reference. I currently have the Quad Assault Walker from the Allies and the Quad Transport Walker from the Axis.

For now. Allies Light Walker base vs Ironstrider Base.

The Ironstrider base is oval and a few mm thinner and longer than the Dust Tactics Walker base. It shouldn't be a huge problem on the field, but I wouldn't bring it to a tourney. IM sure someone would get a bug up there butt about it......

I will say I was surprised that the walkers come in essentially a single piece/assembled with only weapons and a few (like 5 max) bits separate like the frame over the back of the Transport walker or the hatches and 50. cal.
If nothing else Im sure come cutting could be used to mod them.

Hope this helps!

Schrott

Got an Onager base.

Dust Tactics Quad Walkers too big unmodified.

The Allies Assault walker can only barely fit. Its too big and its body is much more bulky than the Onagers chassis. Would require seriously shaving down and reworking for it to fit properly. Take a saw and blade to it!!!

The Axis Quad Transport is waaaay to large. Not to mention its hull is, again, much larger than the hull of the Onager. Requires major modification for use!!!

The tiny Allies Wildfire works for the Ironstrider even if its base is different. At most you can chop bits off the base until it matches the Ironstrider.

Lego Iron Man Hulkbusters as Kastelans

Lego Iron Man Igor Armors as Kastelans

One of each

I think the Igor's make a great hand to hand model, while the Hulbusters are better suited for conversion to the ranged model. The hands just plug in, so they are a brease to remove.

Hitech stuff is awesome from their Bio-Covenant line. Their range is also quite large:

http://hitechminiatures.com/8-bio-tech-covenant#

They're having a superb deal right now, these models would make a gorgeous HQ for an AdMech force. These are also pretty generic in presentation and could be easily converted for you Dark Mech fellas:
