Subject: Repairing the Man-O-War Drakhun

Hello all, I encountered a strange rule dispute today regarding the Khador Battle Mechanik Officer's ability that lets mechaniks repair Man-O-War models. My mounted Man-O-War Drakun had taken six points of damage, and I tried to make a repair check on it. I was told that I could not do so since the first ten boxes belonged to the mount, and not the Drakhun itself. Is this accurate? It kind of makes sense considering Fenris has tough, but only after he becomes dismounted.

You can't ''remount'' him if that is your question. You can repair either form of him, but once he's off his horse that is permenant.
This is because there is no permission to do that.

It only comes into play after being dismounted because the mounted form never becomes Boxed(the stage where you test for Tough) as dismounting occurs at Disabled.

Card says man o war drakhun. Whether mounted or undoubted it's a man o war drakhun model. As far as I can tell, repair works as per the rules.

I asked on the PP forums and got the answer as follows.
1) you can repair a drakun as he is a manowar, mounted or dismounted.
2) once he becomes dismounted his health boxes permenantly change, so no repairing him back onto his horse. But you can repair his mounted form if its damaged.

Thanks guys. I knew you couldn't remount him (that would be funny though). I was curious about repairing an already damaged mounted drakhun. Good to know our Mechaniks also fix horses.

It helps to understand it this way.
You use the repair function to repair the armour the Drakun is wearing, not the Drakun himself. You can also repair the horse because the horse is also wearing armour. In neither case are you healing flesh, just repairing metal, but horse or rider it is all the same to mechanik. However once the horse is dead repairing it's armour is pointless so a mechanik can never remount a Drakun.

n'oublie jamais - It appears I now have to highlight this again.

Hah, that is pretty amusing. I can only image the look on an opponents face when the Drakhun gets repaired back to full health before doing what he does best... Again, and again and again.
