So, I'm not gonna be on much over the weekend, exceptionally poor service. So I thought I'd say Happy Easter Weekend to the fellow Dakkanauts who celebrate the holiday, beginning on Good Friday. Hope everyone has a lot of chocolate and ham (chocolate covered ham?). Me? I'm going skiing for one last hurrah before the final snow melts in upstate NY past Lake George. If anyone is on Gore Mountain Saturday (and/or possibly Sunday), look for the guy wearing the Deadpool costume T-Shirt. It'll be me.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Happy Easter to you as well! Enjoy your trip!

Not sure what I'll be doing... Morning Mass of course, but after that I'm not sure.

I'm more excited about spending Passover with my GF's family. Though I'm not Jewish, the Passover Seder has become one of my favorite holidays.

Oh man Seders are great! My cousin in NY always posts some great pics on FB when she goes one.

Because my school has the brilliant idea to schedule spring break two weeks before easter, I'm stuck at school for it.

I'm currently in the Philippines spending time with my wife and her family. Not doing much except eating, drinking (lots) and sweating. Although I'm not religious in the least, this country takes Holy Week seriously. A few years ago we went to see an actual, live crucifixion. It was, intense.
To all those getting chocolate, enjoy. I'm jealous. The life expectancy of chocolate here is exactly 3 seconds, that's how long it takes to melt as soon as it's left the shop..

Gore’s a nice mountain to ski. Big enough to have variety, but not past the point of massive crowding and line. As you head back towards the Northway, be sure to stop at Oscar’s smokehouse

My weekend plans are looking bleh. My passover seder was canceled, due to my fellow bad jew recovering from surgery. Easter Brunch over at the in-laws is still on, so that’s my Sunday. Working on a bit of a cold, so feeling miserable. Even if we are punting on Passover, I still might make myself some matzo ball soup and drink 4 glasses of wine. Should help me feel better.

I also might make and bring some chorosis (or however you spell it) over to brunch tomorrow.

Happy Holidays all.

Edit:
Or I might spend the weekend bailing out my basement. Stupid melting snow.

My dad says he stops there all the time. Parents live in north creek, so it's almost a walk to Gore. Actually, my step mom and step bro are instructors there, so I ski for free! Makes for a great weekend. The slopes were rough today. Lots of ice and slush patches. Good snow areas were in seriously short supply. Made for good exercise though.

Happy Easter!

I can honestly say you seem to be in for a better Easter than I. All I've got planned is reading a couple research articles and writing up a prelab. :( Meh, that's why God made scotch.

Just got home from what was the best Seder I've ever been to. Really small, family oriented with lot's of swearing and storytelling. Good times had by all!

0/10 for effort.

Anyway, we're making a ham, dinner rolls, mashed potatoes, usual Easter fare. I'll be having over my sister and her brats, and my brother in law. If I hadn't been so busy with work this week I would have picked up something to smoke, like a boston butt maybe - perhaps I can do that on Monday instead.

Happy Easter to all of you as well. I get to celebrate it twice. Today for protestant Easter and next week for orthodox Easter

Easter Friday was pretty take it or leave it. Twelve hours at work and then straight to my parents house for dinner with my dads communist friends.

I had a very good Easter Satuday however. Easter lunch at my grandparents at day; Easter fire with friends and booze at night.

Easter Sunday (today) and Monday will be enjoyed just winding down and having time off work. Take care, everyone.

Good Friday - Worked and had dinner at The Good Son... putz around on the internet

Black Saturday (or Holy Saturday) - Did grocery shopping with ma. Must have came home with half of Denver's groceries. In the afternoon went to a friend's house for a birthday celebration. Didn't join them for bar hopping because my anxiety was starting to kick in. More people than I could handle. Met lots of new folks though.

Easter Sunday - Had breakfast with ma at the Denver Biscuit Company. In a bit about to go to Mass. I'm hoping the rest of the day will be chill and I can get some hobby work done.

It snowed here in Canada for Easter Sunday. Just enough so that the snow silhouetted the trees while not clogging the streets or driveways. It was really nice to have that nice winter crisp air even in April. The lord has risen indeed!

And it only takes a 500 million dollar incubator!

It would have been even better if it had been an AMX 40, the things look like Peeps.

it was some Easter Charity even Arnold Schwarzenegger did. Donate to charity to crush stuff in a tank with Arnold.

Does it surprise anyone that he owns a tank? the only thing that surprised me about it was it was a light tank. He always struck me as the MBT/heavy tank sort.

Light tanks are better for driving around really fast while reloading shotguns with a single, rotating motion.

Can't ride them on the freeway in California though, unlike around here. So it sort of defeats the purpose.

Happy Easter all!

I spent my day with my family, had a good ham dinner.

After that, my pitbull finally stood up to my nephews Jack Russell Terrier's bullying. Figured out that putting its paw on the Jacks back and pushing down and holding it pretty much ended any sort of resistance. Before that my pitbull and my parents beagle would let the Jack take her toys, treats and be pretty much dominant all around. My little gentle giant finally put its foot down, literally. Was so proud. Now that the hierarchy has been re-established amongst the three dogs, they all get along.

Good call Nev, it smelled awesome in there! I snag some summer sausage and some German sausage made with garlic. Wasn't too expensive either. I think it'll become regular stop when I visit my folks.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I hope everyone had a good time!

I planted some stuff, cleaned up the back yard, and grilled some chicken. Good times.
