Do their weapons count as hull mounted and therefore limited to a 45° fire arc? I remember in previous editions there being some kind of additional sentence that said walkers have a 180° fire arc but this didnt make it into 7th, did it?

GW is scared of girls. Why do you think they have so much trouble sculpting attractive female models? Because girls have cooties and the staff at GW don't like looking at them for too long because it makes them feel funny in their naughty place.

They don't count as hull mounted, but they do have a 45 degree arc, defined in the walker rules.

They've had the 45 degree arc to the front for quite a while now. The difference is that in previous editions they could turn to face their target in the shooting phase, which effectively (well, at least under the most common interpretation of the rules) gave them the same all-around fire arc as infantry.

That's gone now... They just get the 45 degrees to the front.

4th edition was the last 180 degree edition, from memory. I know my fire frenzy chaos dreads loved it...
