We have the Skitarii and rumours of the AdMech/ Legio Cybernetica coming next, but I'm wondering whether the Dark Mechanicus will be coming after them.
I've looked around for any rumours or news but I have been unable to find any.

I believe they should release the Dark Mechanicus simply because they're different, they make use of advanced technologies combined with Daemons and Warp Magic, there could be some really interesting units from them.

Thoughts? Opinions?

There are so many things they should do before Dark Mechanicus. ACTUAL Chaos Factions, Chaos Renegade Marines, Genestealer Cults, Dark Angels, Sisters of Battle, Exodite Eldar, Xenos Mercenaries. If Dark Mechanicus is done before these, especially them lovely Genestealer Cults, I'd be annoyed.

Dark Mechanicus will come sometime between Chaos Knights and Codex: renegades and heretics.

In other words, I'd not hold my breath.

They should have a dark mech codex, but then they should have a renegade guard codex too.

Not happening anytime soon.

How do folks not think there's a Renegade Guard codex? Sure, it's not called 'Codex: Renegade Guard' and goes by 'Renegades and Heretics Army List' or 'Renegades of Vraks Army List' but it is a set of units and rules and prices. Two of them technically. Or is this one of those 'my area doesn't play Forge World so it's not an option here' situations?

I said Codex Renegades for a specific reason. and you're absolutly right this is a hole that FW has filled.

much like I imagine they'll be the ones filling dark mech and chaos knights

I've just started building a Dark Mechanicus list using the Imperial Armour 13 Renegades and Heretics (Heretek Magos upgrade for warlord) and allied with CSM with Warpsmith as the HQ. You can create a pretty convincing Dark Mechanicus army that makes sense fluff-wise using these two books.

I'm using a mixture of Forgeworld Mechanicus models, CSM daemon engines, and some of the new Skitarii models as troops.

Can you get rouge psykers in IA13?

Id love to have IA13, find its hard to get FW here in Australia though.

Id also love GW to actually pay attention that people would like Chaos versions of Guard, Knights, Mechanicum etc and are even willing to buy a whole new codex for it so they dont have to just fudge up the allies listing(Or abide by it and try to not get near Chaos)

Yeah you can make the warlord a psyker that rolls on a couple of the standard power sets, and you can take rogue psykers. The unit is 1-5 models but they are fielded separately and can't join squads. They roll D3 for their unique powers and can become possessed if they peril.

That sounds nice, are the powers good/fun?

On topic, I think you can still faction-bash and house rule things to get a Dark Mechanicus force working.

It does sound like IA13 would help with that but Ive made some Dark Mechanicus like models that I use just the Guard rules for and have some chaos units skirting around the edges or deep striking onto the table where they wont cause issues. Or if feeling lazy just ignore the ally chart altogether.

I don't really view the Dark Mechanicum as a organized faction that actively goes to war as an army. I view them more as crazed freelance tech suppliers of the CSM and Renegade forces. They don't seem to have an organized standing army.

I am both an IoM and Chaos player, and I have little to no interest in the shared units between the two, preferring the more unique units for my Chaos forces. So when the IoM gets a new shiny, I don't really want to see a spiky version of it. I'd rather we get something more unique for Chaos. We have the entirety of the Warp at our disposal, so lets stay away from just tired IoM retreads with spiky bits.

I'm not seeing them. More likely will be like renegade guard (not including FW of course) where you just use the normal list and convert away to make the "evil" version of them.
I think i like that better than having an "officially evil" version as it would let me convert and still have the same full options as the "good guys" without having half the good stuff taken away with random more expensive stuff added.

yeah me too, the good thing is after Skitarii... anything seems possiable. Codex: the lost and the damned, could well be a thing

there might not need to be a Renegade guard codex, if they just tweeked the Allies matrix to allow chaos to take standard guard. Guard who turned 6 months ago fight exaclty like loyal guard. Except they sometimes ally themselves with CSM and Daemons.

Two of them are good IMO. There's a blast haywire witchfire, a blessing that gives crusader, and a malediction that causes the target to only fire snap shot and initiative 1 but fearless units are immune, and stubborn and ATSKNF have to fail a leadership test.

On topic, I agree. There's a lot of room to use IG or Skitarii as their chaos equivalent. I'll be fielding a "Chaos Knight" with my group, but just deal with the negative effects of come the apoc.
