No, it is meant for plastic not resin.

I've been working with a lot of FW resin recently, and oh man is it horrible (not because it is FW, just because it is resin).

I honestly can't wait to stop using resin - it warps, doesn't stick well, requires a ton of work, barf.

Anyway, for that, I would be looking for a two part epoxy glue, like Araldite. Generally, I will get some Super Strength stuff (15 minute working time) use that to get everything stuck where you want, get it on all the joins, then add some strategic super glue to try and hold it together. Clamp it together like a lunatic, then mix up some 5 minute araldite and jam it on the inner seams (if you have them).

No. Plastic glue doesn't hold things together because it's sticky, it actually dissolves a small amount of the plastic on either side of the joint and then it dries into a single piece. It won't do anything at all to other materials (resin, metal, even other kinds of plastic).

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

A good superglue or epoxy will work with that. Epoxy is a lot more work than superglue so I only use it if I need to use it (it fills gaps better than superglue if the parts don't line up properly and is typically stronger).

Wash the parts thoroughly and straighten out any warping before gluing it together.

Epoxy is really unforgiving, stick with superglue most of the times.

Another vote for superglue. All my FW riptides are assembled with ordinary superglue and hold just fine. Plastic glue wont do it.

It's easy to make a mess, but it's more forgiving than superglue in the sense you have a few minutes to work with it and then it holds strong in the long term.

It's unforgiving in the sense if you do make a mess it can be a pain to clean up.

No you need super glue. I can recommend Loctite gel. It's clean and easy to use. Not mess like liquid.

Ugh...arrgh....this super glue isn't working well in whatever this stuff is. Well...some parts its fine (I suspect thats the riptide stuff) and the other stuff...not so well. Taking forever to dry

My only resin model(Belial) is superglued together and it worked but took forever to dry. Don't expect anything to work great on resin. Perhaps you could try pinning the joints that are giving you trouble.

If the superglue is taking a long time to dry one of two things is happening.

1. The glue is old and is slowly going bad.
2. You are using way too much superglue.

For big stuff like that, you really need to pin the big joints regardless of what type of adhesive you use.
