We decided to create something that will help to diversify units, how do you like this concept?
Do you prefer classical or more futuristic style?

I definitely prefer the Roman numerals. How awesome!

Great idea. Do both types of numerals. and all the way up to 10 - although VIII might be a squeeze

IIX would work in a pinch, if they couldn't fit VIII

Personally I like the more high tech vibe of these designs. The more 'classic'/gothic' designs feel a bit contrived, but that's just my own little opinion.

Absolutely "classic". The only reason we use Roman numerals so much in the modern day is because they're cool.

Meanwhile, you're one of my favourite sculptors. Any chance of you doing some "Space Elves" in the future? The problem with "Space Elves" by "other companies" is that they're really, really badly proportioned. Giant balloon heads and big meathook hands and feet make "Space Elves" look a lot less cool. Nobody makes any alternatives, though, which is really sad.

Regarding Space Elves... We will try to fully flesh out our existing factions first I think. It was discussed some time ago and the conclussion was that we will develop existing lines first.

And today's new release is related to the old song...

Ah, well. Speaking of expanding your existing lines, could we get some nice lady soldiers? It'd be nice to have some gritty female soldiers in sci-fi, especially in the aesthetic of your existing troopers.

Lady soldiers, very nice idea. Passed to the Art Team. Let's hope it will get fleshed out

And here is one of the our very first releases, Daemonic Beast.

Really? Jes Goodwin makes almost all the Eldar sculpts, and he's one of the best sculptors and concept designers in the industry (ever IMO). Wouldn't mind some more competition though, mantics efforts (the only alternative I'm aware of) don't really inspire...

Awesome! I look forward to it!

I was very much speaking of grunt soldiers, but that said, there are a lot of people out there (myself included) who are desperate for some kind of power-armoured battle nun... Perhaps with a heavy Gothic/Knightly/Catholic Church theme, even. Just a thought.

Spoiler:
Before anyone says it, RagingHeroes are not the be-all-end-all to this topic, even when their (lovely) models come out in Q3 2552.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I love them conceptually and artistically, and I'm not saying the sculpts are actually bad. It's just that I really, really, really despise "heroic scale". I love the Eldar for their lore and their aesthetic, and it kills me that the only option for infantry are GW's official, ludicrously-proportioned products. Unlike the Imperial Guard, Forge World make no better-scaled alternatives (Death Korps, Elysians, etc) and there are no alternatives (whereas the IG can use any sci-fi or even historical humans converted properly). Unlike Space Marines, the models can't be simply chopped up and put back together (I'm "tallscaling" all of my Marines) to fix their issues. They're just so damn chunky!

Of course, there's also those awful and ancient models they have for Aspect Warriors. The sad thing is that all I'd need would be a Guardian alternative; anything else could reasonably be converted up from those as a base. It's extra sad because GW's models are going slowly away from "heroic scale" as time goes on (see the Skitarii and the latest Eldar Autarch), but they didn't make new Guardians or Aspect Warriors this past release.

I see! Yeah a new Guardian sculpt is sorely needed, and some Forgeworld Eldar infantry would be amazing. Anyway, that's neither here nor there, sorry for the OT Puppet Wars guys

It's on topic! It was why I bemoaned the sorely lacking state of the Space Elf market!

EDIT: I love the majority of things PuppetsWar does, but the human infantry are really great. If the far future yielded some "Space Elves" of that quality and scale, I'd be a very happy person. I'll be content with cool mechs and such for now, though.

Did you guys announce the winners of your summer painting challenge anywhere? I entered, and while I don't expect to win, I'm intrigued to see what did!

Hey PW (or anyone else) -- hints on a decent method to fill in the empty spaces where the glass/whatever would be on the various windshields/canopies on these models? Looking at the big thing and realizing I have a trio of fliers or so awaiting closed canopies before I start painting them.

I used pieces cut from a blister pack on this one - just cut to shape, and stick into the frame with superglue.

Any similarly thin, clear plastic would do.

Oooh, the Big Thing is looking more and more excellent! Are you making a helmet/head in a similar style to your Enforcer? It'd make them fit together aesthetically, as well as just looking really cool.

Ahhh, that's perfect. I've been trying to cut plasticard to size, because I apparently hate myself. Thanks!

Anyone wanting to put clear plastic on a canopy, you can use craft glue to stick it on there without it fogging or, if you really want to go that extra mile, head to an auto parts store and buy some silicon adhesive. It's the stuff they use to attach rearview mirrors and after it cures (it does take a long time to cure) it is clear. I bought a tube for $5 or $6 at Pep Boys a couple weeks back.

I was pondering getting my friend some Centurions for his birthday, but both he and I laugh at the GW versions. Do Puppetswar's Centurion alternatives work well? If not Puppetswar, is there another good third party alternative?

I like PW's. Scibor just previewed something too but it's extremely ornamental, so if your friend isn't using super-decorative stuff PW is probably going to be where it's at for you.
