If you've ever shot a firearm before then you'd know very well that there can be a massive difference in the accuracy of individuals from ranges as low as 25m, much less distances of 400M+ (the range most engagements occur in).
P8, G36, MG3. We are not talking about some civilians who occasionally go and shoot at the range however, or soldiers who get to shoot once or twice a week maybe (unless they train for deployment) or even less - depending on unit.
We are talking about genetically enhanced humans in power armor with all sorts of tech enhancements that shoot every day for several hours if they are not in combat.

source? A medium machinegun can also shoot up to 2 Kilometers, it won't be able to kill anything effectively anymore however and forget about talking about accuracy. THere's a difference between maximum range and effective range

Siege of Castellax, Iron Warrior successfully fires off a hypersonic shot that nails multiple cultists trying to rebel from Iron Warrior rule. The range was 2.5 kilometers, and I don't believer he had any altitude advantage.

Siege of Castellax has some pretty nice kills in it. Quite remarkable brutality (yet again this was my first book I've read from a chaos perspective, so I don't have much experience)

If you follow logic, the best shots should be Iron Hands.
They are practically machines.

Really all SM can be thought of this way. Having a robotic arm doesn't make you more accurate when the living arm of a SM is a genetically modified beast.
