Another question, if I use the Wraithhost formation, does the Wraithknight still give the other person the perks from me using a LoW?

Well it's pointless for me to argue, and I don't have the codex in front of me. Just seeing it say 1-12 per guardian host makes me hesitant. I do hope you can take the Wraithhost on it's own though!

I have the codex.

I think only if your local group (and the tournaments you attend) incorporate the Escalation rules.

The reason they put limitations on the formations is because they apply to the detachment of formations. All the formations are still formations in their own right. You don't have to take the detachment. I could use a Wraithhost formation for my Chaos marines if I wanted to, just like you could make an army consisting of as many wraithhost formations as you want with nothing else. Meeting the restrictions of the detachment simply gives you FURTHER bonus rules in addition to the wraithhost rules.

WraithHost Formation alone: Wraiths reroll to hit when near the Spiritseer

GuardianHost + WraithHost Formation: Wraiths run 6" AND reroll to hit when near Spiritseer

Correct.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

I thought that the wording was that the Wraith units re-roll to hit against *enemy units* near the Spiritseer. Meaning that Spiritseer has to be within range of that Imp Knight for the WK to re-roll against it

Well, something like that.

I was "Correct[ing]" that the Wraith Host is a formation independent of the Warhost. It can be used with a Combined Arms Detachment or even Unbound. There's no requirement that it only be used with a Warhost detachment.

Who cares about the Warhost and Guardians.

Take it as a ally with Dark Eldar and put those Wraithguard in Fast Support Raiders.

If I lose it is because I had bad luck, if you win it is because you cheated.
