I've been looking at the previews for while. They're really good, makes me want to start a German army.

I am highly impressed by them. I plan on using them in an IG army I am planning on building. I can paint them in splinter camo and they will fit right in.

If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs
For the love of God, GW, get rid of reroll mechanics. ALL OF THEM!

That would be a pretty cool deal. I can't wait any longer. I've been checking the website for them since the mock ups were posted.

I've been looking forward to these. They look good, although their proportions seem exceptionally Ork-like, even by Warlord's standards.

Yeah I've noticed some strange impish features on some of the new pics as well. I'm hoping that some of it is just from the photography.

Well obviously it will. Warlord's US,Russian and British armies all included one of their plastic AFV kits and the Stug is easily the most seen Natzee tank IRL and on the tabletop.

If it is obvious, the reason would be that it's the latest German AFV in plastic from WLG. In fact, the old Heer set came with a resin Hetzer.

I'm pretty impressed with the box so far. I don't think the pictures on Warlord do it justice.

Looking forward to getting more done and adding a Rubicon half-track.

Oh, you have it? Time for the question on every German player's mind: How many assault rifles do you get in the box?

Yeah I've had these for a week or two. I think I was one of the first to put a preorder in.

15

There are 3 per sprue and 5 sprues. One with two arms holding, one with one arm attached to the pistol grip and a loose arm needed to finish it, and one loose. All have slings.

What did you think of the quality, and overall value of the set?

In my opinion it is their best so far. I think they are such an improvement that I'm finding it difficult to resist simply "phasing out" pretty much all of my other Germans from the starter set. Thicker more sturdy weapons, nice assortment of gear, and pretty decent faces. Zeltbahns and covered helmets are a real plus.

I have nothing bad to say about it other than I wish they had a few more non weapon arms...

If you play late war Germans in bolt action I would consider a box of these a must.

Definitely their best so far. Mad that I went and bought a box though. They are doing the same thing for Fallshirmjaegers in the near future.

Gotta collect them all....

I'm resigned to the fact that I will buy a box of every plastic infantry that they release

I'm still waiting for them to be released here...

Meanwhile, can we please not be bombarded with ads for Dakka's new game? I know it's heresy to say this on Dakka, but the models really don't look very good. I don't appreciate seeing them plastered all over every page with hyperbolic comments about how amazing they are.

Its an advert placed by Dakka not me. What happened to Manchu's post saying the same thing? it just up and disappeared.

I used my mod powers to delete it because in retrospect it did not seem that TG necessarily thought the ad was a post.

I knew that, Trombones - the comment was directed at the administration, not you.

The Fallschirmjager prototypes look great - less Ork-like than the new Grenadiers. Some of the helmets look a bit blobby though - not quite the right shape..

Ah ok. And I agree with you.

Here's a question for you TG...I just got a rubicon halftrack for these grenadiers and I really like it. Now I need a tiger...what do you think rubicon or warlord?

The Grenadiers are circa 1944 (late 1944 if they all have assault rifles). The Rubicon Ausf D is right for that period (I like it too - really nice kit), and for that period your Tiger I will be the late version with the revised cupola, steel wheels and Zimmerit. Rubicon's Tiger I can be built into a pretty accurate late version, and goes together very easily, but I'd go with the Warlord Tiger I because it comes with Zimmerit. Unless you want to sculpt your own Zimmerit (I'm too lazy).
