porting over some shipping cost issues from the CMON Blood Rage KS which has just opened it's PM now they had estimated shipping of $15-25 for Europe but the numbers that have come up for some countries (even with no add ons) is higher

$27 to Italy
$31.50 to Spain, Sweden, Portugal
$63 to Greece, Iceland

so either they've got a problem with their costs (they did on their previous KS, but having fixed that problem I don't think so) or their shipper is more expensive than expected and they've decided not to swallow the difference

I would expect shipping for this one to end up the same as Blood Rage so if you're in one of the Counties above you should probably factor that into your pledge

Why is Greece so expensive? Iceland is obvious, cold climate fauna love killing posties to steal their sweet, sweet mail, but what's up in Greece? Is it bandits?

I suspect less than 1/3 of the US States are within the $10 estimate, many Americans paying at least 50% more than anticipated.

Quite frankly, the recent shipping surprise on Blood Rage killed what little interest I had in backing B-Sieged, and doesn't help Zombicide 4 or The Others.

These recent games have orders in the thousands, while Zombicide has tens of thousands. I wonder if that might make shipping cheaper.

Looking at the number of people complaining about still not having their Zombicide 3 I wonder if they've ditched whoever was doing their shipping for that,

and are now looking to pay more for a service that does not loose as many boxes?

That wouldn't surprise me at all.

I have to say, Having 'townfolk' minis who are not terrible sad peasants is kinda nice. I also like some of the 3D tokens.

I am just kinda over trying to make video game mechanics a board game. Games like this require endless mini expansions for change of themes which kinda gets me. :(

I really like some of the designs for this and Rum and Bones, but I simply don't have the bandwidth for minis anymore and am going to keep to Chibi stuff for my RPG dungeon... But if I had a classic dungeon pool which I was keeping, I think many of these models would make awesome NPCs.

I think Orcs Must Die! is a better game, but they made the mistake of not getting enough finished sculpts out before launching their kickstarter which has 31 hours left. The Cthulhu Wars stuff was great, and the Orcs Must Die! stuff probably will be too, but people want to see the actual models for a miniature game and not just zoomed out renders.

That's fair to say (regarding the lack of sculpts on the other project), as looking at that campaign page, literally Everything is a render!

Part of the reason I'm in for $1 here is because of those amazingly cute monster models . I would love to hear how folks think this plays once more have gotten a chance to try it / watch the gameplay videos / etc.

I absolutely love Orcs Must Die! 2, but I'm not sure on that board game. I may pick up some of the hero models, though, because some of them are pretty sweet and could be nice for D&D or Zombicide: Black Plague, or something.

On topic, I like B-Sieged more the more I think about it, and the gameplay video was quite intriguing. It seems very different from the other games I have as well as the ones I have coming. Plus, it seems like the KS exclusive characters are all perfect for someone in my gaming group, Astrid is my kind of character, Dahlia is definitely for my fiancee, one cousin will love Thorlak, and the other will love Donatto.

Well, my chances of backing this dropped to 0 after hearing about the shipping and the bad news surrounding other KS' that they've been running. It's kinda neat and kinda interesting.. but for $45 I can get any of the DnD board games. They all have retired Chainmail/DnD Minis figures and are available retail right now.

What other bad news?

Those D&D games may be 45 dollars, but I feel like most of the CMON games are a heck of a lot more fun.

Obviously everyone will have different feelings, but those games (especially Ravenloft) really rubbed me the wrong way.

I have officially backed. Ran this by my gaming group and everyone is super interested, I'm happy, because I'd hate to miss out on these awesome promo heroes. Speaking of, I love Igor, I'm always okay with a character that looks like a plague doctor. Is it wrong to hope we can still get a few more free heroes? Because I really hope we can, but on the same hand, this already seems to be pretty good in value.
