They were several months late both times though,

not a problem to me,

but if you are subject to 'delay rage' worth keeping in mind

Are the Vic artillery crew going to be single piece, or will they have arms/heads as separate bits? I am assuming due to this being a Bones release they will be single piece models but if anyone knows information would be appreciated.

almost certain to be shipped as single pieces as that's the Bones way,

but a number of them are assembled in the factory so it's possible they may be made up of pieces

(but bones plastic is really easy to cut so you'll be able to disassemble them without any trouble)

The total shipment was delayed yes.. but from wave 1 to wave 10 or whatever the final was, that was all within a short period..

RE: Artillery crew - There are multi-part bones.. not sure that these will be but they look like they were made from a multipart kit so that should make it really easy to do conversions. Bones cuts like butter to a sharp X-acto.

Very much tempted to drop my own $100 wave one whatever deal for a $1 pledge instead. The core deal is anything but interesting to me right now.

Same here. I'm going to wait until closer to the end in case it picks up, but the base level is pretty poor even compared to bones2 at this level, and bones2 after the $1million mark was pathetic

Brook - You don't have to buy core.. it structured so that you can select whatever you want totalling to your pledge during the KS. Hop in the Pledge Calculator on the front page and see..
For realsies? Because all I want right now is three guns and a pack of totes-not-StarCrap marines.

ERMAGERD, three guns and a pack of rip-off marines with shipping for less than $20? SOLD!

Any idea how tall those kobold/goblin things are? The original kobolds made okay 15mm guys but the subsequent kobold wizard and hero were too tall. I am guessing these guys are on the taller end.

In case you missed it you don't have to give up your wave- In the pledge manager you don't have to select the core set. You're essentially pledging $100+ and you will choose your rewards after the kickstarter.

I'm not sure about delays on this one- aren't the first waves supposed to start shipping in August? They may be on top of this one.

Reaper seems to enjoy chatting with the regulars and ignoring everyone else unless you spam your question.

Unfortunately none of those meetings have resulted in the Tianot reveal

Did you see the reveal at the end of the video? It's not great but you can get idea of size, and can even see a little Sir Forscale there for size.

I saw the microsecond blur of it, but I'm talking about the official one that lets you know the funding required and the price so you can pledge for it.

Note.. the tiny blob at the base of that model is a 28mm knight on foot.

Guessing it to have the bulk of Karadrax, but instead of being spread out it's going to be taller. So retail in that price range perhaps? It definitely won't sell for the price kaladrax did in the kickstarter though- they admitted that was a mistake. Well, it wouldn't have been if the factory hadn't scaled him up so much.

Well, anything out of their control (eg. containers stuck in customs) will delay the first waves, but the shipment dates are more padding than anything reliable. For Bones II, the docker's strike pushed back Wave 1, but, once they could start shipping stuff, they only had a few days between waves. My two bits are that the waves are there to "set and manage expectations" so the backers don't get all riled up. In practice, the waves amount to "first come, first served".

This might be incredibly hipster on my part... but it kinda makes me sad that their metal was all done in house (I think?) and now the Bonesium is made in China.

I liked Reaper before they were big, man...

I thought they were going to bring the Bones Machines (injection molders) in house, down to Texas?

I'm almost positive that they bought the injection molders as part of their first kickstarter so that they could do the production in house in Texas. The molds might still be made in China though.

That might explain why my Shoggoths have Made in China prominently stamped on the bottom.

They have specifically said this time that because of the initial volume, the first batch will be done in china because they can't handle the volume with the in-house machine. Subsequent batches will be produced at their TX facility.

Oh good.

Then I hope they can move onto making sure their store has the handful of minis I really want and have been 0 stock for a few months now. Looking at you, faceless horror.

Yeah.. Hopefully they don't take on the same traits as Mantic .. so spent on Kickstarters that everything else is just completely ignored.

Hi, the crew will be mostly one piece, some might have separate arms for casting. The cannon will be several parts, and will need assembly. This will enable us to make resin add on's like crawler tracks and a blast shield in the future.
