I have added multiple layers of shade and dry brushing of random metal tones of ironbreaker and chainmail. The left side was done with just shades of nuln and agrax. The right side I used typhus corrosion and shades then a dry brush of the metals. Which does everyone like best? The left or the right??

Quite honestly, the left. I think you're losing the glow effect here quite a bit.
Still looks ace though.

Yea, I went over the glow. Decided it needed more shadows and depth. Will do the glow again however.

Blue glow effect really helps to make the model pop with a single coat scheme. Look forward to the rest of the army!

This is my next step for the metals. I am just unsure of how they exactly pulled off the look

I believe I have some photographs I took at GW's Warhammer World yesterday of this exact model in person, whilst thinking of this thread. I hadn't spotted that post, and when looking at it, just thought you might like to see.

If that's okay, I could post them up for you, I don't want to spoil your thread by posting other people's stuff without asking.

Click them for full versions. Not sure how helpful this is, but I hope it's a little.

Here is an update.

I went over all of the metals again and reworked the highlights and shades. This meant the blues were lost. However, with the metals and shades finally done, the blues have started again. See below and let me know your thoughts dakka!

Latest update. Base for the blues and a wash has been done. I am currently just waiting on the wash to dry.

Please do. that would help me out on seeing what you see.

I still need to finish the right side of the model. I am going to use Caledon blue and mix it with white instead of lothern to see which I prefer.

Then I have 3 barges, 2 arks, 1 dooms ark, monolith, 50warriors, 6 wraiths, and a spyder to do next....lol

Random curious guy with weird question is back...
Spoiler:

I meant those parts where the glow effect doesn't seem to be there. I was just wondering if that was on purpose. Sorry for the weird question.

Yes, I wanted to give the look of pulsating glow i guess.

looks like they used a sponge to go over the base metalic with a slightly darker /muted version of the respective color to give a tarnished effect. you could probaby a mix of black and gunmetal to achieve this. Sponges are super cheap at the craft store.

Here is the latest. I am currently trying to decide on the left or the right.

Right is done with a gulliman glaze after the whites and blues have been added.

The left is without the glaze.

Which works the best?
