Hello Dakka!

I'm starting this thread to update with all of my scratch builds / conversions. Ultimately, my goal for this thread is to take your feedback to become better at the hobby, so any constructive criticism, tips, or trick are greatly appreciated.

I like it but on a weird level, I don't think its Orky.

Overall it reads as whimsical, but Orks are kind of blunt folk.

Maybe the wheel needs a bit of gore on it. Its a piranha after all right? B) still you've done a great job. Very clean put together look, looks built, not gobbed on, and thats always a win for ork builds imo.

I appreciate the critique and can definitely see your point. The original concept called for a plow in the front but I wound up scratching it for a profile that I think works a little better. I still left the bar on the front though in case I wanted to magnetize a a deff rolla. Maybe i'll throw some more gore on that!

Just used an ornament I found at hobby lobby and built the rest from spru, plasticard, and bits. Here's what it looked like before.

The profile of it looks like a steampunk fish, and that glassy globe like a giant eye. The more I see it the more I like it!

Amazing! This is so orky. It reminds me of the BFG Kroozers that were also fish shaped.

This is a beautiful scratch build and great paint job.

Really cool man amazing stuff!

Excellent shields and gorgeous painting. Some of the weapons are a bit extreme. Not sure if it is possible for Ork weapons to be too big, but these are close!

But seriously, they are original, they look great and they're full of Orky character!

The weapons are definitely a on the extreme side. Not sure how much i'll actually play with these guys since their weapons reach out so far over the bases. The main goal was to have a cool group of orks to put on the front lines for my armies on parade board.

The tellyporta looks very orky indeed.Also I like the shields on the 'ard boyz.

Decided to move this thread over so I can keep all of my stuff in one place. Working on Mek Tower 2.0 because I just hated the last one and decided to canabalize some of the parts for the new and improved version! Hope you all enjoy, more pics as I make some more progress.

Love the Ork Fish. It's like they looted General Grievous' unicycle from Star Wars Episode III

I really enjoyed putting the doomwheel, aka "dakka piranha" together. Looking at it now, I think I need to add some more color variation to it, but that's a project for another day!
