As someone who likes Harpoon, I think the idea that this game needs to be like Harpoon to be good to be complete and utter nonsense. BFG is not real world naval warfare, nor should it be thought of or presented as such. K thnx bai.

Just got done with my first crack at the beta! I played the first couple of missions of the campaign, about 45 min total. Awesome stuff! The game really nails the BFG feel to me. Unfortunately, I discovered that the devs haven't implemented a save feature yet for the campaign, so I will have to start over when I go back to play again. Looks like it's solo skirmish and multiplayer only for me, until they implement the save system anyway .

I've considered pre-ordering this about a thousand times, guess I might bite the bullet this weekend.

Played a bit more tonight! I started in on the single-player skirmish. It is interesting, in that you don't have access to everything at the start...you have to level yourself up in order to gain access to bigger ships. This is similar to what I saw in the taste of the campaign that we were given.

Still loving it!

I love the game but it defiantly still needs work. The Data hot potato thing is a big pain when you board the ship, and suddenly they board right back and steal it before any boarding can recharge. I either need to make a completely new ship devoted to it or maybe some gameplay tweaks are needed. Also I can never seem to get a lightning strike off on the dataholder.

the Ai on normal is either really good or I suck.

I wish I could tell which weapons can fire in which arcs in the docking bay at port maw.

I can't wait for the full campaign. I need more!!

"Do you really think 7th edition was the best edition?"

"Yes, and I'm tired of thinking otherwise."

I'm currently playing it when i can as I love the over all gameplay so far.

There are obviously a few issues that need addressing but that's what Beta's are for

It certainly scracthes that BFG itch and I can't wait to try the Orks, Eldar and Space Marines... now if only I could get my pc to stop shutting down when i try and play anything!

Most of the missions are horribly broken in one way or another, Cruiser Clash is the only one that actually works at the moment.

I'm quite enjoying it, I've just unlocked IN Battleships (so progressed as far as its possible to go at the moment) and despite some glaring balance issues (assault boats......) its a pretty decent game.

Hopefully the campaign is interesting.

Everything in BFG, with the exception of certain augery special abilities and the various teleported bombs, is in the tabletop. From special orders to boarding its all there.

good to know I'm not alone there! Also, has anyone gotten the admech favor yet for imperium?

And am I the only one who is forgetting to use the tactical cognitor?

Might wanna wait til they patch it. The invite system still needs work. Wouldn't let me invite anyone to a game when I tried it the day before yesterday.
