Does anybody know of companies that produce futuristic (perfect if also grimdark) looking Cavalry models with guns/rifles?
Hell, it could even be some of the 19th century Napoleonic Era mounted rifles units as long as the miniatures are proper scale and could look like they fit in the 41st millenium.
GW has stopped selling the old Attilan cavalry, so right now FW's godawfully expensive Dkok cavalry seems to be the only place to get RRs.
Any info would be appreciated.

Look for any animal you want.
Purchase Victoria Miniatures Legs for rough riders.
Add any torso/weapons you want.
Done.
I made Badgers as mine. Love em. Also got a Moa and a Lion.

Empire Outriders kitted out with spare Guardsmen bits seem like the best one-stop option if you want to keep to GW.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"
"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"
"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"
"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!" |

Not particularly cheap, but I think pretty cool.

I have combined Warhammer Fantasy Outriders (horses and armoured legs) with Cadians (torsos, arms and heads). Looks decent.

Wargames Factory. Either their War of Spanish secession cavalry or their Japanese samurai cavalry. The samurai have spears but the Spanish cavalry look a bit more Mordian. I have the samurai, glued some extra las pistols in their hands and saddles, glued some spare grenade bits on the lances, and you can put any special weapons on their backs. I've got nothing but compliments about them. These are the cheap options, $25 for 12 models. http://www.wargamesfactory.com/webstore/rising-sun/samurai-cavalry http://www.wargamesfactory.com/webstore/horse-and-musket/wss-cavalry

Scout marine bikes, with cadian torsos and victoria minatures rough rider lance arms is a good alternative, although not the cheapest way to go.
That's pretty much what I did in third edition, except that I could bits order the lance arms from GW, and the metal scout models were a real bear to cut apart.

Not sure Victoria minatures stocks the rough rider arms now, at least I can't find them anyway. Automatically Appended Next Post: Swastakowey wrote:Look for any animal you want.

I used the clock work steed from WHFB empire mounted engineer as my conversion for Kamir. If you are looking for units of mechanical steed, I can't help you there.

They look cracking mate, you should be chuffed, bet they will look even better painted. Especially love the Jumanji guy haha. The Pith helmet dudes from Victoria are very tempting.
