I really like the look of WW2 infantry trucks and I think they make great Orky conversions. I know 1/35 scale is about right, but does anyone have suggestions on products?

I;d suggest you go by your local Hobbytown USA or Model shop, and just glance through their selection. If I had the cash, I could easily drop $500 on models and plasticard for my orks at just my little local store alone.

Night Lord XIII Company: 6,600 Points, 12W-4L
Skaven Cheese-stealer Renegade Cult: 2,000 points, 0-0
Warboss Spine Squisha's Ork Warband: 3,000 Points, 1W-3L
Carcharadons Astra: 2000 Points, 11-2
Drukhari: 1250 Points, 2-0

I've tried that and I love some of the models, but the regular WW2 kits are like double the price of an Ork Trukk. I hope GW never notices >.>

I too am in a bind trying to find some military toys / models on the cheap trukk conversions. I read that 1/43 scale works well. Did you have any luck finding anything?

1/56 is technically the same scale, but 1/48 is better for 40k as 40k is very chunky.

As for products they are very cheap usually. I know my recent 1/35 scale Type 95 Ha Go was half the price of a Leman Russ (and far more amazing). Personally I love Dragon Kits but every historical company has its hit and misses.

Check this site out for reviews:

They will let you know how decent a product is.

What kind of transport are you after? Half tracks or actual trucks?

Since Historic models don't change their price according to the area like GW does, whats cheap for me is probably not the same as it is for you.

I dont know how these prices compare:

But I would look around actual stores (there are A LOT of historic model stores/brands and so on).

If you can find this kit at a reasonable price you get the truck for some nifty conversions. Its also one of the more odd looking half tractors.

I actually just picked up one of these for cheap off eBay, so I'll let you know how it compares size wise.

also for anyone in the US, I found some decent half-track trucks at Hobby Lobby that are about the same size as an orc truck and they're only like 13 bucks.
