Has anyone seen the BOLS Tzeench rumors about Daemonkin Getting new Kits for the Lord of Change and CSM Sorcerer Kits? I hope this goes here.

I thought that is what I heard as well, Just thought I would ask around to confirm this. Taking it with a grain of salt.

I posted this a while back but a Tzeentch release is indeed coming. Plastic LoC, Rubics and more daemons are on the way.

I did originally hear about a Tzeentch book of sorts, but haven't heard anything to confirm it recently. Same with the Sorcerer. (Which I'm not even sure is a real thing anymore. See previous posts)

Tzeentch release will either be the next release after Dark Angels. Or right after Tau and Deathwatch. I'm going with the former but we'll see how it pans out.

I'm going against Sad Panda on this one, and say we'll see Tzeentch by the end of the year.

I wonder if it'll be a real Rubrics kit or if we're going to be seeing the upgrade sprue approach they seem to be taking for SM in the SM rumors thread?

Soon they'll do Nurgle and Tzeentch, I doubt anyone will be surprised. I'm interested in seeing a plastic Keeper of Secrets, though. I know it's going to be censored, but it is possible to do that tastefully. And Games Workshop does every so often surprise me. I have my fingers crossed, but so help me god I will not buy a single daemonette until I see a Slaanesh unit that actually looks good.

Seems to be likely this is coming soon which is exciting.

I have a feeling this will just be a summoning army though.

In theory it would be cool to have a different army that's shooting flickering flame and warp flames everywhere but against sturdy armies (Necrons for example) I would just be handing them 2+ FNP before the end...

It would be nice to see a new table with new Psyker spells that don't buff my opponents as I shoot them. If it becomes their entire shooting phase (from the Demons half of the list at least) then it would also be nice to have some sort of Perils defense.

If Khorne just got a Str D Thirster maybe they will give the LOC a ranged Str D Psyker spell (pipedream I think)

I hope they go back to the 4-armed bull style for the plastic Keeper of Secrets rather than the multib00b daemonette that FW released.

You are probably in the minority for wanting that, but you'll also probably get your wish, if the current Daemonettes are any indication of the direction they're heading.

The FW version is absolutely terrible.. but so is the GW version. Perhaps they just need a total redesign of the keeper of secrets.

However, the creature caster version is excellent.

Long Jetty, The place is a dump

This is what I have been told as far as Tzeentch Daemonkin.

We will get a plastic Lord of Change with 3 options (levels) same as Bloodthirster.

However there is to no Plastic Thousand Sons they will remain a Finecast Upgrade.

That is far as I know also it will come out in August/September.

Next year will see Nurgle and Slaanesh in that order.

i would be stoked to see them go back to the original form...
the throwback head in the Bloodthirser kit is my favorite bit, and the original KoS was my favorite version...
i like the FW version, but not as much as the original...

i've never been a fan of the LoC model in any incarnation, though...
maybe they can wow me with the new plastic kit...
we'll see...

always excited to see what direction they take with a new kit...

cheers

Well, if pretty much anything GW's releasing right now is an indicator to go by, the Tittaur for Slaanesh will probably be what they'll do. There's so much going back to old designs right now. I believe it started with that limited-order-only-captain for the space marines, but then there are the knights, harlequins, electropriests, the upgrade sprues that seem to be inspired by something from rogue trader... I guess it takes less brain cells to brush up on old designs instead of actually making nice-looking new ones?

Then again, most of us has been very pleased with most of the sculpts lately. More so than we have for years.
Some would say they finaly start doing it right.
And personaly I have not been around long enough to be nostalgic about it.

Or they've realised they had some really awesome ideas back in the day, and just sucked at making them, rather than the idea being crap. I mean, most of that stuff hasn't been around for a couple of decades.

I give you that. Some of the old stuff was fairly nice and while I don't endorse the idea of "two units make a codex", I certainly think that having a good choice of sub-factions from the whole background is a nice thing. However, some of the old designs are fairly re.tarded and a lot of demons fall into that category where a complete redisign would be preferable to an updated version of the old eye-cancer.

Would be nice if there was some Formation worth taking in CSM from TzeentchKin. It's the only God not represented in my Red Corsairs, and I'd like to properly use Undivided.

Why would there be a undivided themed formation in a Tzeentch themed book ? Or am I misundertanding what you are hoping for ?

A standalone Formation that brings something good to the units, not just part of the Decurion. Like the Gorepack from KhorneKin gives the Bikes Move Through Cover, letting them auto-pass Dangerous Terrain tests. And since Bikes only take Dangerous Terrain tests, not Difficult, it means they can ignore most terrain, making them just that much more versatile and not needing to Jink when they can move freely in 4+ ruins cover. Or the Brazen Onslaught gives a good enough buff to Termicide units to consider using it if Termicide is something you want to go for in a regular CSM list. The Blood for the Blood God rule can be mostly ignored or grab the smaller buffs along the way.

So still Tzeentch themed, but something that is strong enough alone to be included in other armies. My issue with Tzeentch right now is that there is nothing they do that is really worth taking alone.
