I'm looking for something to carry a knight, 3 onegar dunecrawlers, 3 ironstriders, 40 vanguard/rangers the kastellan robots basically at least one of everything. I was looking at the new gw cases but they don't seem to have room for their big models ironically, and being gw are probably overpriced for what you could get for the same price otherwise.

warhammer 40k mmo. If I can drive an ork trukk into the back of a space marine dread and explode in a fireball of epic, I can die happy!

Nah, they're actually quite reasonably priced.

I got a fully custom Battlefoam bag for all my Skitarii, but seeing as price is something you think of, you would probably not want that. it was almost 200 pounds.

GW crusader case works for me, 30 vanguard/Rangers, 4 Onagers, 10 ruststalkers, 2 Dragoons, 6 Kataphrons, 4 Robots 2 datapriest, 2 Tech priest dominus and an imperial knight.
Still has a bit of space left for 3 more Kataphrons that should arrive next week.

I will point out that I have magnetized my Onagers bases, legs and body to make it easier to transport.

I have 30 skitarii which sit within the GW case very well. Haven't got any of the newer models though.

I spoke to KR a while ago and they said they'd be bringing out Mechanicum / Mechanicus trays at the end of May. Still not up on their site but it's maybe something to keep an eye on.

And the sequels HERE and HERE

Final part's up HERE

Thanks. And thanks to everyone who contributed. The gw case I saw must be different, because there is no way I would fit any useful amount of vehicles into one.

I have a battlefoam pack 720 and it holds at least 2k points of what have you, has pouches that fit dice, ruler, calculator, a codex, brb, data cards and templates no problem. It's 12 years old and looks like I bought it yesterday, and this past Sunday I was caught in an absolute downpour with it and not a drop of water got on the paper products. It's bulky and awkward as all hell but it is probably the most solid money I've spent on wargaming. I just use pick foam which doesn't completely immobilize the model but I've never had serious damage and I can hold whatever I want up to and including my knight Castigator.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

Just scroll to about 40 seconds in. The case does not look that large in person. However, being an owner of one, I can attest to it carrying WAY more models than it appears to on the exterior, and extremely capable of carrying 40k vehicles.

Battlefoam is the way to go if you know what you're going to put into your case, and it's going to be roughly the same stuff every time.

However, my painted collection is probably 100x the models I'd ever be able to move to play -- whether it's to a friend's house, or just to another floor in my home. What I put in the carrying cases varies a LOT from one time to the next, and the GW case is very accommodating for this; in the same spot, you can have an Imperial Knight, or a bunch of razorbacks.

I watched the videos on the crusade case, and while it does look like you can fit the mechanicus stuff inside, the fact that they have teeny tiny spikey cabley pieces everywhere means they would definatley break in there. Mabye I am best off waiting for battlefoam.
