I have been too busy with life, working 2 minimum wage jobs and paying the bills and rent.

I just want to know if csm is even viable anymore. I had read IA13 and do not own any of the models. I been trying to sell and trade but CSM is so garbage no one ones my old models.

Stuff that just will not sell but i am stuck with to make an army

20 blood letters wh fantasy
10 Melta Gunner Marines
4 Plasma Gunner Marines
5 Flame Gunner Marines
16 khorne Beserker
1 pred tank
2 rhino

1 heldrake

12 ac havocs that are scratch built
15 scratch built oblitz

26 paint pots

Paper proxies I cant sell or even play with anywhere

3 hellblades
1 Imp Knight

I get so much hate and i throw it back at this community. All i am asking is what the normal selling rates are and if i csn evrn built s competitive list with the junk i have above.

From what I know (Still new to CSM, just picked them up a month or so ago) is Drakes are still one of their best units. Oblits are still solid, Havocs are alright, but need a boost up.

Overall though, the book will still suffer, and it isn't so much the CSM fault as it is just how the game has evolved since their book was released. If you're looking for tournament winning lists with just what you have, I don't think you'll be happy with peoples answers.

Chaos can put up a fight, but with every other army rocking out super heavy (And soon to be Gargantuan Monster) filled lists, Chaos will continue to suffer.

But, I didn't choose Chaos for power reasons. I find the army to be super fun to play, the fluff building for my warband is stupid fun and near limitless, and painting the models has been a blast so far, compared to my Orks (Who were already fun on all those fronts)

the knight and oblits seem like a good start.

lord w/ jump pack, burning brand + shenanigans

troops of some sort, probs w/ good guns to hold down bunker

3 x 3 oblits
drake
hell blades (never used em)
scratch built comms and bunker/aegis

knight

if allies,
herald of khorne
10+ letters with an icon

basic idea:
weather the storm on turn 1, but you have a knight… then drop an icon squad in and the oblits + lord around them to reduce scatter. bring in fliers too.

maybe not the most competitive, but a fun style of list to play.

Maybe I shouldn't mention the 3 Hellblades and Imp Knight because they are papercraft proxies. Only 1 guy let me play with them and the other 5 guys wont. At this point i will just have to list on sale bid on ebay and quit like everyone on this forum tells me to do.

"please leave"

This game and this place has caused me so much heart ache.

Two people just gave you some constructive feedback and you continue to mope and act as if there is no hope in this world.

Cheer up and contribute to the conversation you started.

As for CSM - can't say I know a lot about them, but you do not need to run your units "exactly" as they are built. For example, I have 5 sternguard in my Blood Angel army but there is no problem running them as Tactical Marines because they look very similar. I imagine the same could be done with your forces.

Also, if you are looking to get some dirt cheap models, check eBay. You can find some very inexpensive models that just need a little TLC to get them back into the fight.

huh… well, i don't understand the reservations.

you could easily ditch the knight, and the list could still work really well. i don't have a knight, i still have fun.

Actually, you have the makings of a pretty good, offbeat list.

Most of the models have heavy weapons. Let's focus there.

First off, 3 Helblades is a good way to start with any CSM list. TL Heavy 3 autocannons are no joke, especially considering they reroll 1s. I would take them over a Heldrake any day. That's only 300 points.

Obliterators are always good. Have never regretted taking them. If you brought 3 squads of 3 you are going to wreck someone's day. But they are expensive, and sometimes not worth as much as AC havocs. I would just make a choice and start there.

Berzerkers aren't particularly exciting anymore. Better to count them as normal space marines and stick in some heavy weapons. With the models you have, I could see a couple squads of plasma CSMs running around the board while everything else is shooting up the field. Put them in Rhinos with Dirge Casters and you have a nice threat to compliment the heavy weapons.

Ally in 10+ letters and a herald of Khorne like the other guy said. Maybe they get to charge something, but they will probably act as a good distraction unit.

Not sure what you would do for an HQ with the models you have, but there's always proxying. This would be the start of a very good CSM list. Not competitive, but not something most people would want to face.

I'd play with the Black Legion supplement and use all those heavy weapons to make Chosen Teams (troop choices for BL)
.. You have the makings of a decent force that can wreck face... If you're looking to win Tournaments- sorry, but CSM just isn't the force.

You seem to just keep making excuses as to why you should quit.... If you're just posting to whine- then by all means quit. If you're asking reasonable prices, I may be interested in buying parts of your force.
