It has a daemon that is seemingly invincible--and almost comically impossible to do anything against. That makes the story...for me...a bit ridiculous.

I swear it started out as a non- HH related short story that was then re-jigged and padded out, and it adds nothing to the HH story arc.
I mean, it's even worse than Descent of Angels...
It's just a set up for the 40k pandorax campaign, so you can see how the story began. Not worthy of being a part of the hh series though.

Pandorax--good read--Damnation of Pythos--not my favorite HH book--but as JamesY said it was written for how the Pandorax campaign began.

It's not worthy of taking up space on my bookshelf, or of actually existing in this space/time continuum, but it's part of the HH collection, so there it sits, never, ever to be read again.

Have Damnation of pythos but haven't read it yet, i liked the outcast dead, the misfit troop trying to evade capture, it gives a nice tidbits on the proto marines
