The new Space Wolf. How can something so unaerodynamic travel at more than 5mph?

Those jetbikes look ok. Maybe not enough wing area to provide the needed lift but they look areodyanmic enough.

I was pretty sure the Russ suspension is there, just covered up by the track and armour plate just like the WW1 and inter-war tanks GW based the design on.

Anti-grav. It's how almost every flying thing in 40k works.

You see the problem with that, right? If the armor goes all the way to the ground... the suspension can't travel. Granted you're right that the old Mk IV tank from WWI that it's partly based on had the same suspension design (i.e. it didn't have a suspension). But it doesn't make it less silly when you think about it.

Re: Landspeeder Incredibly Silly

This came out right around the time GW had crawled so far up its own arse they basically stopped making remotely reasonable or cool designs. I would say since the end of 5th edition, new kits have been a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio of "wtf were they thinking" to "looks nice, yeah". And in fact most of the decent kits have been remakes of old kits, or based on Jes Goodwin sketches from 20 years ago. I think it's rare these days when GW (outside of Forgeworld) invent a new unit and it doesn't look utterly silly.

This. The crew physically cannot fit within the turret, and even in GW (well FW's) own technical art, they show the turret hatch blocked by the gun breach

And yeah, zero suspension.

Likewise, Land Raiders could be defeated by parking lot speed bumps, with a practically nonexistent ground clearance and similar lack of suspension.

I don't think Space Marines can fit through their turret hatches with their gigantic shoulders.

Another vote for the Leman Russ. It makes zero sense as a tank design.

No I meant the Russ could have inspired by something like this:

That tank has a fully functioning suspension, just you can't see most of it from outside since the metal plates are covering it up.

Also Drop Pods. As cool as they are, how does a Drop Pod not break every passenger's spinal chord. I mean it has no suspension, and in the fluff it doesn't sound like it has a slow decent.

Watch the Dawn of War trailer. Pretty accurate depiction of how drop pods work. Plus if you're in a dreadnought you're sloshing around in a tank of goop.

The Dawn of War trailer is inaccurate and not even consistent with its own gameplay (where the pods slam down quickly and heavily).

Drop pods have always been described as something only Astartes can survive without special equipment.

I should think of a new signature... In the meantime, have a

The drop pods have retro-rockets that fire at the last second to stop decent. It's something that's used in the real world, the Soyuz reentry modules use it, and it's not....fun for normal people.

Well to be honest it would be easier to make a threat and talk about IOM vehicles that actually makes sense.

Only one that come to my mind is this car and ragnarok tank

I was about to leap in to defend against that from Daly, but then I realised he said Vendetta, not Valkyrie/Vulture.

Yeah, the dangly "ripped off a land raider" vendetta guns take an iffy design and just make it worthless. I much prefer my version, which has the lascannons flush against the wings.

The Tauros Venator is just funny. It's simply put the most over-gunned battery-powered buggy ever conceptualised.

This is a light-weight jeep. A light-weight, battery-powered jeep designed for air dropping.

It is armed with a pair of laser cannons whose capacitors take up the entire back half of the vehicle and are of an equivalent size to those found on a Land Raider heavy tank.

You'd be surprised at the crazy stuff the USAF and its predecessors have managed to get airborne. Vendetta isn't that outlandish compared to something like the Flying Flapjack. Plus stick enough rockets on anything, and it'll fly.

Also, I'd nominate the Imperator Titan, simply because the square cube law should outright kill it.

Pretty much. It also has hardpoints for two hunter-killer missiles.
