The Russian town of Kumertau celebrated its anniversary by attempting to create the biggest helicopter model made from horsemeat ever, reports Reuters.

The horsemeat chopper, built by local chefs as a homage to the area’s helicopter manufacturing industry, measured more than 11 feet long and weighed 264lbs. Naturally it also had rotating blades.

The sausages are all organic and locally produced, but hungry revellers were out of luck as there was no nibbling allowed.

Thankfully IBTimes has this comprehensive video report:

..well ... it's good to have a hobby I guess.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

I dislike thread named with titles that says basically nothing about the content, when the title could contain everything you need to know that the content is not actually something you are interested in.
I think those are called clickbait.

"Our fantasy settings are grim and dark, but that is not a reflection of who we are or how we feel the real world should be. [...] We will continue to diversify the cast of characters we portray [...] so everyone can find representation and heroes they can relate to. [...] If [you don't feel the same way], you will not be missed"

Have a sense of humor for Christ sake. It's a thread about a giant model made from meat. You're not missing important world news whether the title is bang on or not.

Fun. It’s nice to see that this kind of crazy stuff happens all over the world. Gives me a little hope for humanity.

Admittedly horse-meat helicopter is a little more outlandish the the largest ball of twine, or the biggest pizza. But you work with what you have.

They should be glad they did not get to eat the sausages. Bashkir sausages are yucky. Especially the dark ones.
