Okay, so I'm presently build my box of five Chaos Terminators, which will bounce between being regular CSM and Khorne Daemonkin. Looking for a bit of feedback as to weapon builds.
For melee, I have (tentatively):
2 Power Axes
1 Power Maul
1 Powerfist
1 Chainfist
For ranged, I have (also tentatively):
2 Combi-Meltas (could pull a third, but am trying to keep it for my Termie Lord)
1 Heavy Flamer (debating between this and Reaper Autocannon)
2 Combi-Bolter
I'm willing to take under advisement any feedback for this, because Termies are pretty much alien territory for me.
Thanks!

Why the 2/1/1/1 composition in your CC weapons?
Thing rarely goes as planed. If you lose 1 term before making it to CC (and you will) then the all plan is screw.

The reason for the 2/1/1/1 is that it's all I have. What came in the Kit. So, I guess technically I have another Powerfist as well. I don't necessarily have a 'plan,' per se.
My main opposition would be Necrons and Eldar. My friends have both a Monolith and a Wraitknight (one lives at home and the other takes and buys everything at once. My wife won't let me, lol).

If you load out terminators with everything they can have, you're gonna lose a lot of points for each one that gets shot out :/

Very rarely do I see anyone with an issue with wysiwyg on chaos terminators, so just as long as your opponent is fine with it, just let them know what the weapons are, also for Chaos terminators consider the forge world legion alternatives as they come out cheaper if you want to equip them all identicaly

It's not so much about WYSIWYG, but more about 'Are these weapons going to do me much good until I can get additional Terminators?'
I've read that a Heavy Flamer can be brutal, but I can't for the life of me find any feedback on the Reaper Autocannon newer than 2010 on a Google search. And when it comes to melee, that's pretty open ground to me as well, since I was focused on Tau until recently.

The only big problem I would say is that everything except your maul is unwieldy. It might not be such a big problem though, depends on how you want to run them. Are they going to be primarily shooty or punchy?
Mine are specced for close combat. I have Champ plus one other with axes, two with pairs of lightning claws, and one with a chainfist. Once they're in CC they do pretty well, the bugger is getting them there. They are notoriously unlucky with their deep-strikes and in recent games haven't even made it on to the table.
I'm going to try borrowing a Land Raider to stick them in, but then that's going to end up being a heck of a lot of points.

Being that I was going to be bouncing between the two codex, I was looking to be hybrid. I was looking at Combi-Meltas for anti-vehicle, then just relying on the bolters if more ranged was necessary. The heavy Flamer is for anti-infantry due to my main opponents being Necron and Eldar. The Necron player has some vehicles, while the Eldar player has just a few less. At this point, the Termies and a DV Helbrute are the heaviest things I have non-HQ.

My general loadout for terminators is:
-majority axes (armour helps them live to swing)
-Swords on champions (or claw in DKK because theyre free)
-Mauls on one or two other guys for extra punch.
-Chainfist if your squad is bigger. Otherwise mauls should be able to smack most normal vehicles around.
-Khorne is good, and if youre squad is big, dont skimp on the icon.
-Combiplasma's your best buy for bigger squads, melta is good for termicide.

If I'm building my five Raptors with two Melta guns, should I worry too much if the Termies have Combi-Meltas?

I wouldn't try to build hybrid termies. They're pretty bad at range. They do termicide pretty well, but I personally abhor the idea of suiciding my most elite soldiers and loosing what precious little terminator armour there is for chaos. I would only take the reaper cannon if you plan to have them walking on foot for some time. Or if you ever find yourself sticking a 10 man squad into a kharybdis or spartan.... so basically...never.
Otherwise, I only used ranged attacks to soften up the target I'm about to assault. The heavy flamer is really good at that. In which case I have them in a land raider and I don't usually bother with combi stuff. If anything I would give them combi plasmas.
As for melee weapons, I find that mauls work best. Even against termies, as they pretty much all come with a 3+ invul. So Ap2 doesn't do an awful lot either. But mauls are just so flexible. I really like them and you go first, so there's less hitting you back. Although it only really works on khorne termies due to the amount of attacks. And with furious charge that's 4 str 7 attacks per. That's close enough to a power fist to replace it, since they go at initiative.
Having one chainfist though isn't a bad idea, and a lightning claw or two can really pull a number on non termies. So if you'e expecting to assault more MEQ than TEQ I would switch a few mauls for claws.
I'm not a big fan of power axes or power fists. But I tend to favour khorne units so keep that in mind.

I eventually intend to turn my CSM into Khorne Daemonkin. Reason I don't right now is because I don't have a single Daemon. Got a really good deal on the CSM Attack Force from last year, so I couldn't pass it up.
While I like the idea of the maul and would gladly use more, I only have one set of Terminators - the one that came in the set. That limits my weapon choices to
2 Power Axes
1 Powe Maul
2 Power Fists
1 Chainfist
I do have and additional axe from a Terminator Lord, but that's about it for melee.

Option is find some shoulder pad bits, and magnetize. Thats what I do. YOu can also use white sticky tacky to keep shoulder pads on and switch them between arms. I like being able to keep them wisywig and still change them up depending on my list theme and how I use them.

Meh, I just use what looks cool as melee weapons. I don't think anybody is going to call you out on using axes as mauls for example. If I feel strong enough about a choice, I will eventually try to give the model the appropriate weapon.
In your case, your going to have to figure out what works for you. Which is another reason for me to not make a scene about what the models are actually wielding. As long as I can tell them apart I couldn't care less.
It's hardly your fault if GW is being stingy with their kit options. you could always look at ebay for more arms or so.
If you really want to model them that way and then play them that way though, it's not ideal. But it doesn't exactly make them unusable either. I would stay away from anything resembling a horde however. Anything else you should still do ok. Try to protect the fists though, they will cost you dearly if they die. Or this. That works too, it's a bit more work but could be worth it if you come across extra arms (like ebay).

If you've got Raptors (mentioned above) you should have the Warp Talon bits with them too? Lots of lightning claws...

I loved Chaos Terminators at first and I went for an expensive 5 man squad I upgraded with everything there is (even Bringers of Despair) in the hopes of getting a badass melee unit. Unfortunately, they kept dying to everything, and even when they reached melee they did... not much. Now, Gal Vorbak have taken the role I wanted for them, and they do it much better.

Are twin-lightning claw Termies good for getting transitioned into Khorne Daemonkin? I would be wanting to run them as part of the Brazen Onslaught formation.

I think bringers of despair only really work as escorts to abaddon AND fighting marines. Hitting plasmas on 2+ rerolling 1's and wounding on 2+ rerolling 1's is about as evil as it gets. And then charging and hitting in melee on 3+ and rerolling 1's and wounding on 2+ depending on the weapon and rerolling 1's again.
And then there's abaddon of course.
That is indeed a bad ass melee unit. But it only works in a very specific scenario.

Yea sure, Lightning claws are awesome. In daemonkin that could result with your termies getting 6 attacks on the charge with furious charge and shred not counting the mini rampage.

For Chaos, NOTHING!
Why? Because GW thinks we shouldn't have anything nice because we're the bad guys and they don't want us to actually be able to hurt Little Timmy's feelings by potentially killing one of his precious little Speesh Mahreens...
Our best options for the most, across our entire codex require us to convert everything up.
For Combi-Plasmas, there's the plastic one that comes in the Space Marine Captain box set... If you can find them on a bitz site, scoop them up and just do a quick hand-swap on your Termies. Sure it's not quite as 'spiky chaotic', but it works.
Overall the Chaos model line is crap, and needs a massive overhaul. Most of the time we're 'chaosifying' loyalist bits to cover the many glaring holes across our model line. Or else being forced to buy scads of extra bits from Evil Bay/bitz sellers for other units. (ie: Khorne Berserkers who only come with enough chainaxes for 50% of the squad! )

Another option is to take some of the dozens of extra plasma pistols you'll wind up with and mash them up with a bolter. There's some good tutorials around the internet on how to do this. The terminator kit is pretty bad as far as options go which is a shame because I think the models look great... except that one tentacle arm.

For teminators, I just mash a Plasmagun and a bolter together, filing the sides to be attached a bit for a better fit.
For PA models, I would just buy: Forgeworld Legion Combi-Weapons -Plasma, -Flamer, or -Melta.

here's another alternative for combi weapons (pre-drilled to accept magnets, no less), which I've used for some character models:
http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/The-Armoury/Specialist-and-Energy-Weapons/Lance-Carbine-Squad
these will work great for termies; just have to do a bit of converting to remove the combi-bolter that's on the arm and attach one of these (after chopping off the handle, of course). you lose out on the double-barrel bolter look, but you gain the ability to easily swap combi-weapons
