Subject: Make a custom relic for your Chapter (or army if not Space Marines)!
So every codex has its own relics that people use (for C:SM this is read: Shield Eternal and basically nothing else), but if you could make one unique relic for just your Chapter or army, what would it be?
In my case, for Crimson Fists, I would make a relic to mimic Alexis Polux's Power Fist, and it would have his ability to decrease his number of strikes to 1, but would strike at initiative. So here is what I have in mind.
The Crimson Fist (50 pts):
This ancient Power Fist was once wielded by the original Chapter Master of the Crimson Fists, Alexis Polux. The machine spirit of the gauntlet grew accustomed to Polux's fighting style, and now shapes the wielder's pattern of attack to mimic Polux. The gauntlet also contains a combi-melta mounted on the forearm.
Hammer Blow: At the start of any Assault phase, this model's controlling player may opt to lower this model's Attack characteristic to 1, but in doing so then ignores the Unwieldy special rule for this weapon for that phase. Note that the model still gains an additional attack on the charge.
What would your relic be?

Taking this grail upgrades all Blood Angel scouts in the army to WS and BS4, it also gives every Blood Angel dreadnought +1A and reduces Blood Angel Terminators by 5pts unless they take a thunderhammer and stormshield upgrade.
Furthermore, vehicles can be taken in squadrons. These squadrons follow the same rules as the C:AA vehicle squadrons. Baal Predators can also be formed into squadrons, if so whilst there are 3 baals in the squadron assault cannons and heavy bolters gain shred whilst flamestorm cannons get torrent.
This relic does not prevent you from taking other relics on the character.

Edit: actually, it would be pretty sweet to have Cypher's sword as a relic choice for DA. But that won't happen because it'd be totally unfluffy and because CYPHER DOESN'T EXIST, MOVE ALONG CITIZEN.

I run Eldar, and I play Ulthwe. Always found witchblades to be lackluster when compared to their fluff (Powered, sentient force weapons).
So...

This amulet, though rightly feared by the Eldar as a symbol of things better left forgotten, bears the smallest fragment of ancient knowledge gleaned by Morai'Heg as she tasted the blood from her own wrist to discover the secrets that lay within. Sometimes worn by her followers, this trinket marks those who bear it as a disciple to the path of sacrifice in the name of power. Feared and respected in equal measure for their obsession, they serve as both terrifying ally and tragic reminder of the dangers all those who walk the Eldar Path face. While all who walk the witch path are a fearsome foe in combat, their blades finding throats and gaps in armor as if by fate, those who walk in the knowledge of Morai'Heg have been known to pierce through blessed and cursed armor alike to the hearts beneath in a single thrust, the blade singing as it weaves death on the field. The problem is that at least to me, an actual loudspeaker just isn't very orky. Some kunnin' bioniks that actually just make your voice really loud instead? No mad dok worth their teef would pass on a chance of doing an operation like that.

Dark Eldar definitely need a 'wych cult' themed relic.
The Underdog Blade: (Replaces a melee weapon) Passed from hand to hand, this simple, razor sharp knife has taken the blood of countless champions. The prowess of its user increasses with the hopelessness of their odds.
When wielded in melee, the user's Strength increases by 1 and AP decreases by 1 for each VP your opponent leads your own score by. In Eternal War missions, calculate this as if the game had ended directly before the Fight sub-phase.

Ork relic: da' box uf oporatshuns 60pts one use only
Any ork warboss, or painboy may take any number of these jury-rigged relics. Crafted from an overworked painboy who decided to create an automated Healy box. Throwing in all of his kunnin' the box contains the following: 1 scalpel, 1 chainsword, 2 tubes of glue, 1 roll tape, 1 sheet plastisteel, 2 boxes bolts, 1 box nails
2 plasma coils, the painboyz lunch, some needles and thread, promethium fuel, a tau jump pack, and 13 middle fingers off a powerfist. All springloaded and ready to heal.
Each box is one use only, because honestly, it never fits back in the box.
Activate the box at any time during your turn, declare a target within 12" or declare a self medication
For self medication: the ork swallows the box of healing, instantly regaining all wounds as the magic healing repairs his damage. However in 1d3 turns the box activates and will explode resolve as follows:
1. Roll on the box uf oporatshuns table ignore scatter effects center blast on self
2. Add current wounds to the strength of effect ap becomes 3
3. Resolve closest models within small blast template
4. Resolve remaining models within 8"

The box worked..too well
Give +3 wounds to every model in the targeted unit, the unit gains 3+ FNP plus rerolls. The miasma of healing plasma, fire, and flying metals surrounds the unit, which gains a 4+ cover save. the metals also disrupt targeting systems, and aiming: when resolving blasts, scatter an additional d6 when targeting this unit.
The unit is instantly refilled to full size and regenerates 2d6 models per turn up to max.
Each model in the Unit gains regeneration 3+ : start of turn roll d6 on a 3+ regenerate a single wound
Vehicles gain a 3+ cover save, regain all hull points, gain 2 hull points and gain +2 armor to all sides permanently. Weapons gain +2 strength and +1 ap or +1 strength and -1 ap SELF MEDICATION::
Effect is permanent. Gives the user all effects except it can only affect the user. Will not extend any protections to other models.
In addition model is immune to instant death, and poisoned attacks.
The temporary effects don't last long, after 2 turns resolve tick tick kaboom for each individual model in the Unit, even if in close combat. after resolving each model alive is reduced to 1 wound, and loses all effects except a 4+ FNP and 6+ regeneration.
Other possible effects: arms every model with a plasma gun
Gives unit chainsword with rending and +1attack
Summons 3 deff dreads , or stompa (but how....how....)
Blows up killing every unit in the game....on the table next to you, or causes any other game being played to end with a tie

Able to reroll charge distance and has Hammer of Wrath even if the jump pack was used in other phases.

First borne by the High Warden Sabt Scutum of the IX Legion during the Battle of Terra, this massive weapon started out as a slapdash combi-weapon incorporating a shotgun into a Carthin-pattern Boltgun. Having passed into the hands of the Reclusiam and received a much-needed facelift courtesy of the chapter's artificers, it has now become a badge of office for the High Chaplain of the Blood Angels.
Scutum's Fist is a Combi Weapon with the following profile:

The vehicle may fire it's ordinance on the enemy unit, regardless of the remaining guardmens. As a bonus the blast marker will only scatter 1d6 inches while firing so close to a friendly unit.

This LR chassis has been designed to take the weapons it is equipped with. It may ignore the negative effects of ordinance entirely, firing all other weapons at full BS.

I'm honestly surprised we don't have something like this already. I've actually scattered so badly that I have blown a platoon out of assault before, it worked out nicely so I guess it's a valid tactic.

Now this is an item that could be an exception to how much I dislike the silly roleplaying, talking to your models nonsense rules that seem to have found their way into AoS. Unless you count to the correct number the Holy Hand Gren... the Holy ORB loses all of its special rules.

Based upon innovations in the realm of Tau Empire fusion weaponry, the Fusion Blade is meant for those foolhardy commanders who favor the challenges posed by overcoming their natural lack of depth perception in close combat. It merely agitates a large swathe of air around it per shot, allowing a Battlesuit equipped with it to engage up close without fear. However, the amount of area covered means that one will have to get up close to do major damage to highly armored targets- a risky proposition.
The Fusion Blade has two profiles, one used for shooting attacks, and the other used for close combat.
