Well, after over 15,000 posts I suppose I should at least say goodbye on my way out. I've been losing interest in GW games for a while, but arguing about them and constantly posting (and looking for new posts) was still useful as a way to avoid spending time confronting some problems I should have been dealing with. And that attitude committed to costing me a happy 5-year relationship. So, kids, don't get so in love with your "post" button that you forget the things that matter.
Anyway, I'll take a look at this thread for the next couple days in case anyone has any last hate mail they'd like to send my way or requests to keep in contact away from the forums, but otherwise I'm gone for the foreseeable future.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices. |

Wow. I never liked you but I also never thought dakka would be the same without you.
At least keep painting your stuff man. Good luck.

Best of luck to whatever you're dealing with IRL. You might have been one stubborn son of a moose but you were a true dakkamite regardless. I hope you at least continue to enjoy the modelling aspect of 40K if not the gaming part.

I plan to, it's still something I enjoy a lot and at least contributes a useful product at the end. There's a not-so-shiny Marauder Destroyer about to join my display shelf, but if I keep putting off leaving just to post the next model I'm never going to be gone. Maybe someday once I've broken my bad habits I might come back to post more updates, but for now only the lucky few get to see them in person.

You were an incredibly polarizing presence here but I always enjoyed reading your perspective on things.
This thread won't last too long in all probability as those you've clashed with will be sure to celebrate.
If you think spending too much time here is contributing negatively to your day to day life stepping away is the wise move.

Nooooooooooooo! It is very saddening that I won't see you bluntly but factually disassemble incorrect arguments here. I'd lie if I said I did not look forward to your contribution each time I looked through a certain type of thread. IN FACT, YOU MAY HAVE BEEN, LIKE, MY FAVOURITE POSTER ON THIS FORUM. You were like my forum bad boy, being a little too harsh on people yet pretty much always being right, so I can't really complain on you. Forum bad boy. Holy hell. Now I imagine a peregrine hawk with sunglasses riding a motorcycle in a spiked leather jacket. I shall resist saying many more things which may become a bit awkward. Instead, I shall express my emotions with this: (ノಥ益ಥ)ノ ┻━┻

Couldn't help it but on that last part:
"What would Jesus do?"

1) This isn't going to go anywhere good
2) This more of a personal blog type of thing
So, best of luck wherever you land.
