English version in Germany sold out too, the German one is still available tough.

I would say it's just supply shortage for now.

It better not. Hard cover is sooooo much better. And if they had a smaller version in soft cover AS WELL that would be evenbetter.

Yea right, in the middle of AoS getting started up ^_-. It's supposedly the chaos month and all but that would be completely out of the blue.

Would be nice seeing the oldest codex finally get updated.

They could release a new Chaos codex with some new chaos releases for AoS. Would be out of place, but the Daemonkin came out with the endtimes khorne stuff...Or they could really just be out and we are over thinking

I swear we need a sticky note titled "Out of Stock means Restocking". GW has a limited set of machines to print model kits, so they run enough kits to fill an expected amount of overstock, then retool for another kit, run that kit until they reach their overstock number, then switch to a third kit, etc. the only thing that an "Out of Stock" means is that you need to wait a few weeks for the production cycle to swing back to that kit. And that is it. The sky is not falling, Chicken Little.

First berating some guy who just asked a question about the best way to fit all of his Russes into one case, and now this? Somebody is having a bad day.

See previous post...given GW's poor PR machine, it is not at all unreasonable (or unprecedented) that out of stock --> new merchandise on the way.

I hope not, generally when GW releases a codex as part of a wave of "something else" the codex is lackluster

It's only the Chaos codex, they have to pay for the damaged they caused in 3rd edition still.

Much like how Eldar will be turned into the next joke codex in 8th edition.

Worry when the ebook gets pulled. Right now, just be patient.

At the moment it still available in Australia.

However it does say "No longer Available" in Britain. This could mean that a new Chaos Codex is on its way, and would not interfere as far as AoS is concerned. Then again this could include new releases.

GW does what it does because it is GW.

Most likely 'Out of stock' just means that it is currently out of stock and they are waiting for new ones to arrive.
When it says 'No longer available', that is when there is something fishy going on.
Since it is saying 'No longer available' for pretty much all regions, I expect that the hardcover now won't be available anymore (duh) and thus will be replaced by a softcover. A new codex would be unlikely in the middle of AoS.

Why would they do a soft cover for a codex that is 3 years old... To me it seems like it should be something new, otherwise why not just run with the hard covers?

New releases will probably always sell, I reckon the small version sold pretty good for example. I hope a codex is coming, but I would not put any money on it. We will have to wait and see.

Going soft cover is a scarily long commitment. That would probably mean we won't be getting any new dex anytime soon

Hopefully this doesnt mean csm is only going to be represented in daemonkin books from here on out, unless one actually wants to continue using the 6th codex..

My guess is they are hoping to sell off their stock of the small codex before the release of a new one. I honestly can't see them putting out a softcover for their oldest codex at this point.

Maybe the 6th edition codex will also be the updated 7th with just a small FAQ.

Considering it's only the CSM codex, and that our model line is barely above the state of Sisters, I think there's a better chance of Nintendo releasing large stockpiles of their Amiibo line to North America than we have of GW giving any love to Chaos.

I'm not complaining

Well I moved over to Khorne Daemonkin, at least I gain bloodtide points when my berserkers just get overwatched, once they finally make it.
