So, seeing that the newest faction to be released is the Adeptus Mechanicus, and rumor has it that the Omnissiah is really the Void dragon being trapped by the mechanicus....
What do you think GW has planned?
Will they proceed to ignore this in the story?
Dakka, if GW did incorporate the VD into the storyline, how do you think they would go about it?

Likely ignore it, Game Workshop don't seem very big on the whole 'advancement of plot' thing....
The best we will get is some mention of a shard being kept on Mars, buried in some italic section.

Nothing concrete will come of this thing on Mars. It's a fun point of speculation and debate, but GW is not in the slightest bit interested in giving you "the facts". The "facts" of 40K, as a setting, are for you to create and come up with. All GW does is provide hints, options and themes to get you started.

It is. So make your own. You don't need approval from GW to run with the lore and do what you want with it.

I know I'd buy figures based around it. It won't happen, though.

You can already buy figures based on it:

Codex: Necrons lists all of those units.
Codex: Space Marines lists all of those units.
Codex: Adeptus Mechanicus lists all of those units.
Codex: Imperial Guard lists all of those units (I give not one single iota of feth what GW is now calling the IG.).

And that's what you'll have on Mars.

That's not true, it depends on if it reaches it's goals. Whining makes you seem immature and incompetent, rallying behind a petition unifies people behind a cause rather than bitching about this and that

I will eat an Ork Nob miniature if this petition does anything to influence GW's decision making in any way. This can be quoted and sigged for all of time, I have no doubt it will not come true.

Simply put, GW doesn't care for the story or the setting as much as they used to. They only care about money now, which isn't necessarily a problem. They just want players to "Go Forge Themselves!" (a narrative that goes places they want it to...)

The dragon may apparently be the leader, but there's like what 1-3 people maximum that know it's there really.

The Void dragon thing is a relic from when the C'Tan was All mighty star Gods of Doom, not Shards that they unleash fust for gaks and giggles.

Now i din't read any of the AdMech codex fluff about the new fluff, but it highly unlikely that it will have anymore significance then the "Giant geneticly modified Warrior clad in a baroque armor) thing that the Necron Overlord has in his basement( the one that likes to collect gak through the galaxy, can't remember the name), when people at the time where gaking their pants because it was "obvious" it was a "Primarque"...

Personnaly, would have loved something about the Void Dragon, simply by the fact that he's the one with the coolest name, realisticly?, Maybe in the Galaxy Burns books series before 40k get AoS-ed( sarcasm).
