Philly fans are actually the most critical of their team. Unlike NE, Dallas, and Seattle were the teams are gods on earth.

I'm married to a Dallas fan that is VERY critical of the GM, the QB, the owner, and sometimes the ginger coach.

Well being from Texas and living in NE for sometime... I'm not talking of "individuals" guess I should have more specific as not to discount a wife or friend. I'm referring to the media and the bulk of the fans. Philly media bashes the Eagles.

Again, as a fan of another team who ends up hearing a lot of Eagles talk, I don't think that's an accurate statement. Eagles fans will boo, and the local media will sometimes (but not always) ask the tough questions. But I don't think those things are unique to Philadelphia. The NY media is every bit as tough, and probably tougher. I've heard boos in other stadiums too. Maybe they're not as quick to boo as Eagles fans, but then from what I've seen Eagles fans aren't booing for the heck of it either. If their team is playing poorly, they let them know vocally. Maybe that plays as harsh in some areas of the country, but the NE region tends to value brutal honesty.

I think hairs are just being split at this point and no one will ever consede any points, typical Internet's.

So I'll change my stance. Every team sucks and all their fans hate them. There.

Hels, keep your head up. I'm reminded why I stopped posting in these NFL threads and playing the Dakka NFL leagues.

Doesn't seem to be working in Cleveland

In all seriousness, I think there is a ridiculous amount of truth to this across the board.

As a Yankees fan not living in NY, I definitely see this as being true... Of course, being of the "Evil Empire" most of us will say things about how the Mets get a free pass for being terrible, but it really does come with the territory of holding 27 world titles

Hey, some of the fan bases think their teams are mostly faultless, or eternal bums. They either see no problems (oh, they just had a bad game) or they place blame everywhere but the real problem (Our QB sucks.)
Imagine being a Lions fan. They seem eternally optimistic.
Browns fans keep thinking they "just need a QB".

Yeah these are generalizations, but in the end, Discussing NFL is better than talking about the weather.

Yeah, folks get their passions up but at least it's never boring.

Besides, You are missed in the Leagues. I need SOME competition.

Of all the races of the universe the Squats have the longest memories and the shortest tempers. They are uncouth, unpredictably violent, and frequently drunk. Overall, I'm glad they're on our side!

And the Dolphins "just need a running back" (never mind the fact they havent exactly had a world beating QB since Marino retired)

While we don't get the skill level of the NFL, at least we play with much better rules, and we're not a bunch of little pansies who can only play inside of a dome that's a balmy 20 degrees.

Packers, Bills & occasionally Pats fans are the only NFL fans who still play real, old time football and accept that it's not a game until the weather is somewhere between monsoon, mild hurricane or raging blizzard!
(except the Lions, but then BC are well known for being a bunch of little softies!)

Excuse me, but I believe the Broncos beat the Pats in bad conditions. Weird how they lost even though they're the only ones who play REAL football

Guys. Guys. Can we all agree that the Oakland Raiders are just terrible and have the worst fans? I'd take Eagles fans over Raiders fans any day.

Bah! Football isn't being played "in the cold" until it's at least -20 (before the windchill!), and it's not raining until the game would be better played using canoes! (and snow doesn't count until visibility is a good 3' or so! )

Hell, up here we play play-off games where it's so damn windy, that even a 20 yard field goal is all but impossible to make!

I see your high wind field goal and raise you the double up-right field goal.
