So over the weekend I decided to hold off on my CSM until all my bits arrive. So I switched gears and worked on a few more Harlequins:











I have also posted up my Necron and Eldar Corsair projects in my gallery so take a look and any feedback is always appreciated!. I didn't realize how few pictures I have actually taken of my stuff so prepare to be bombarded tomorrow!!

Thanks! They vehicles were airbrushed and all the work on the troops was all freehand. There were no tricks, just 'tender love & care.

Hey Everyone... So I am still waiting for all my bits for the Tsons and I have been stuck at the hospital all week with my significant other so not a whole lot of progress. However, I started working on a few other things on my work bench for various small tournaments that are happening in my area.

I was able to finish up my 1k GK List:

So i finally received all my bits for the Tsons and there is a lot of work to do before I post up any pictures. However!! I got a bunch of stuff done on the Dark Angels and Necrons:

Towards the end of my friday night I was finishing up all my bases for this army when i realized that I used a slow dry paste instead of water effects. Needless to say it took a long time to dry (shocking) but I think they came out alright. all the products used starting from left to right.




Then Saturday I was working on more DA Terminators. Not a whole lot of process but some tedious stuff got completed:

Hey Everyone,

So last night I was able to get a little bit more work done on some things that needed to get completed.

A buddy asked me to re-prime a few more tanks for him so I went and nocked that out:

Then I began piecing together my test model for my tsons. I was quite skeptical when looking at the bits but for the most part they came together quite nicely. Here is the test model:

Please excuse the head and arms on the model. I just pinned/ magnetized those pieces as they will need to be detached to ease painting.

Great looking stuff! My favourites are the Harlequins and the Deathwing. The TS stuff is some lovely sculpts as well. Are they all from Evil Craft? (several links up top are broken).

No Not everything is from Evil Craft, parts are from another company. Which images are broken? I am seeing everything so its hard for me to know what needs fixing

Woah, in looking at those models on the net, I discovered a FLGS in my hometown that I never knew about! Amazing!

Ya I can't wait for them to be painted also! I am contemplating getting them commissioned only because I want a really nice looking casual play army but that is still up in the air at this point.

As for where they miniature bits are from you are correct. The quality is great for the most part, there are a few minor issues but nothing that would not be concealed with paint.

I also think I got the problem with the links addressed!

Update!!

So last night I begun putting the Tsons together with the bits from Evil Craft, and Wargaming Exclusive and man-oh-man using bits from multiple sources is not always the best course of action

What I found while doing the torsos is that the socket on the bottom of the torso was to tight for the bulb on the top of the legs on each fig. Sooooo instead of an hour job it took me 4 hours JUST to assemble torsos

Anyway here is what came up my night after cleaning and pinning all my torsos:

Started with the Bases... (funny story, this morning I happened to walk into my hobby shop and noticed I had already made 30 bases for this army.. that means I just made 30 extra bases for no reason... FML)

Good Day Everyone!

Just a small update from last night! I was able to get another squad of wraiths started, their bases started and 6 objectives as well. I actually love how the wraiths feel, the texture really makes them feel rusted I only wish that could be portrayed just by looking at them as well. Hopefully once i wash everything it may look better.

Pretty neat stuff. I admit when I first saw Evil Craft stuff from their website, I wasn't too impressed. they look kind of messy. But IRL they look much better. Can't wait for the paint!

Huh, they're all working now. Ah - I've seen Wargameexclusive in the past - their Kastellan heads look really nice as do those Thousand Egypt Sons sets. Maybe once I've finished picking up the immediate stuff on my shopping list I'll have to do an order with them...

Small update! I had a few things to tidy up to be reasonable for a tournament i played in on Saturday this week so here is what I was able to accomplish:

Hey Everyone!

Its been a somewhat productive weekend! Here is what I was up too:

I first was able to complete the DA Terminators:




Assembled the next few models for the DA:


I Was able to get Fulgrim and an Autarch with Swooping Hawk wings completed (sword and a few highlights are still outstanding):



Work begun on some Space Hulk Geanstealers:


I was also able to get all the Crimson Fist Terminators Built, Primed, and base coated:


Lastly while watching some TV last night I was able to get the Necron Triarch Stalker to a reasonable standard. Still much to do but at least it is table top ready!:

Thanks bud! Ya I am really enjoying the process from sprue to painting. I don't typically enjoy painting but since i have a relatively easy scheme it makes me want to buy a box, and get it painted before I even buy the next which is extremely rare for me.

I just picked up a Night Scythe and a box of Pretorians yesterday so hopefully ill have some good updates for tomorrow!

Just a quick update! My stuff that i bought off MadCowCrazy has just arrived and now I have 2x night scythes and 5x command barges to build up and get some colour on! (yes you do see three Necron Bomber chassis but those will be for another day

Hey Everyone!

Its been a while since I have posted and sadly the amount of photos I am about to post does not share a good ratio with the quantity of days I have been without posting. However here is some of the latest stuff I have been working on:

The Daemons!!! - so a good buddy of mine needed to get his tzeentch daemons based up and ready for detail painting and the guy he was hoping to get it done from bailed :(... so being the good friend I am I decided to give him a hand.

So what we started with were models that looked like this:


Nothing wrong but just very dark and dull which is what I knew he didn't want based on his colour selection. So I proposed that I base them white instead of their original black base coat and then we proceed with the colours he selected.

So I based about 120 pink horrors, a blue scribe, and 6 screamers:



So Before I went "Balls to the wall" I did a couple test models to ensure he liked where I was going with the base coating process:

(The Image on the left was with a black underlay and the right one was with a white underlay)

(The rear two models are with a black underlay, and the one in the front is after a white underlay)

So as expected, he liked where I went with the project so he allowed me to proceed.

After a couple hours and an angry girlfriend I managed to produce a fully based army for my buddy!





I think everything came out great and ill see what he thinks tonight!!

As for my personal stuff... I was able to get a few things completed! Here they are:

I put cockpits on these Scythes and I actually don't have any completed photos so ill get those up in my next post! but here they are after basing is complete and base coat is applied to the scythes.


Got 3 annihilation barges done! now only 3 command barges left


Worked on all the small bits for my lychguard, stalker, and a few lords:

Lastly I am about 905 complete my three new lords made from the extra Command Barge Lords:

Happy Monday Everyone!

This weekend I was able to get a significant amount of work done on my Necrons which was great! especially because Armies on Parade is fast approaching! I was also able to get some of the billboards built for the Plains of War GT (type of terrain piece that doubles as advertisement).

Re-Based the spiders and the barge, painted, added OSL, and now ready for washes and a last highlight.


My first squad of Lychguard is complete aside from water effects and base rim clean up.


The annihilation barges are complete aside from water effects and base rim clean up.



All three of my night scythes are complete aside from water effects, base clean up, and attaching their portals to their undersides.


Stalker is complete! I really enjoyed working on this model! I look forward to buying a couple more!



Aside from base clean up and water effects my 3 new lords are good to go!


This is the majority of the stuff already posted. I was working on all the white at the tips of the OSL.... such a tedious task


I finally got around to my deathmarks which I think are the oldest necron models I own lol! All thats left on these are the bases and the cloaks.


Scarabs are more-less complete. Water effects and base clean up still remaining.


4th Squad of Wraiths still need a bit of work. The first layer of OSL is done but needs a second as the red looks far too pink. Then washes, then they will be attached to their bases.


Wraith Bases still need water effects and clean up. I also re-based and got my destroyer lord painted up. He sadly still needs a base lol!


5th Barge and second Command Barge got built. Sadly I am missing the front end so I had to make one from old bits. I like how it came out but I didn't get a picture of it. once its all attached ill put it in the next update.

The last thing I worked on this weekend was some terrain for my tournament that is starting up next year. I had a buddy laser cut 40 billboards and 30 crates for me soI decided I would begin building some:

So after a little hiatus I have been working on some Nurgle / Daemons / Tsons:

So I started getting my Tsons together.. soo many freaking pins to ensure posing is done correctly. In the model below there are 5 pins and each model has a minimum of 5 so after I was only able to get 21 tsons together.



I began making models in a way that allow me to make moulds of them:


And some more work on this Nurgle Lord:


Ill have some more pictures of the squads once base coating has begun.

So I have been working on more conversions for my Thousand Sons army over the past week. I managed to get all 3 of my terminators done to where they are ready for paint. I magnetized all the arms as there are rumours of a new CSM book (please be true and I hope its not another abortion of a codex like this current one) I don't know what options will be available to them.
