Thanks. I'm going to get another faction ready so I can play some games.

OMG!

It has been so long since I even heard that name.

But we used to play it all the time.

A couple locals are planning to start up Bushido here. They're trying to sway me to join, but I'm not sure I will. I play too many games as is, and am not a huge fan of D6 skirmish games. But as I always say - I'm open to try out any game at some point. There are some neat things I'm reading skimming through the rulebook.

currently playing: ASoIaF | Warhammer 40k: Kill Team

other favorites:
FO:WW | RUMBLESLAM | WarmaHordes | Carnevale | Infinity | Warcry | Wrath of Kings

I'm about half way through painting my second starter. Since the models are assembled I did some solo games to learn the rules before I game with other players. I actually found the game quite difficult to play and I think I'm going to have several runs before I can teach it.

It turns out there used to be another game with the same name around a while ago. A RPG I think. The older members of my club thought of it right away when I mentioned Bushido and we had to clear it up.

That would be Bushido the RPG published by Fantasy Games Unlimited in 1981. (According to Wikipedia there were two earlier editions by other comnpanies.)

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

A month later I've gotten my second starter painted and have manage to play the game. I really enjoyed it. There is a lot of strategy and thinking involved. I still find some of the rules a bit tricky though.

yeah, I agree the rules are great and really tactically fulfilling but there are a few rules that aren't as clear as they should be. GCT are also going to salute this year on but I've got a feeling that salute falls on the 30th anniversary of the space marine which is incredibly annoying.
