It doesnt win worst model simply because every IOM flier (with the exception of the thunderhawk) model looks hands down worse.

I personally actually like the sunshark bomber version of the model. Yeah, the rails have to go, but it at least looks like it can fly and I really dig the concept of the energy bubble bomb.

I actually like the Tau flyers (but I like pretty much everything Tau). They suck in game terms, but I would love to have one to paint (if I could get one cheap...).

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

My vote is on the Leman Russ tank. This is the most hideous creation of the 41st Millennium. I can't justify buying them on how they look. I feel embarrassed putting that on the table. I can't think of anything that can be don't to it to make it look good.

Not old models from the 90's, those were obviously horrible looking models. I mean current generation models.

I am with you on this one. I also wont buy a Leman Russ on the basis of its idiotic looks. Looks like a constipated pregnant hen.

Fair enough. The cap he's wearing gives off a little bit of Mordian vibe.

It doesn't look too shabby, I quite like it (as someone else has said- snip the struts off). Looks like the Tau version of a Reaper drone- though the missile pod on the tail is a bit silly- I'd have lengthened the wings and had missile racks on it- similar to the rotary one on the SM legion aircraft.

I think the Leman Russ can be fixed with the Siege of Vraks extra air filters, and trench rails...at least then it's profile looks pretty cool. Personally I really dislike ALL of the Ork infantry, but I do really like their trukks, buggies and bikes.

IMO, the worst model to me is the standard Terminator model. I frakking hate it, but I love the Chaos Terminators.

I hate this fething thing....

Worst design for a aircraft I've ever seen, something that completely defies physicist and is something I would of thought a child designed.

Physics aside, I actually really like it. It looks like a hovercraft designed to combat infantry on the ground, and less as a plane. I dunno, it looks perfect for what it's supposed to be.

I agree, apart from the massive cockpit I find myself kind of liking the model. It looks an Apache or any other helicopter gunship updates for the SM.

To me, that flyer looks awful.

It's like the people designing each piece were locked in separate cupboards, and had no idea what sizes the other guys were going for.

When I stopped thinking of it as a fighter jet and considered it an attack helicopter, it started to look a lot better. The right frame of mind help that model immensely.

Not that it doesn’t have some flaws. A smaller chin turret would go a long way to helping it out, maybe move the pod weapons back. It’s nose heavy.

It's to compensate for all the antigravs attached to the pilot's chair.

The overall shape of it doesn’t bother me. It’s obviously held up with anti-grav plates, and is reminiscent of an old school landing boat.

The two unforgivable things about it are the weapon arcs, and the wolfy bits. What are those lascannons going to hit?

I can understand chaining pelts and skulls to tanks. But trans-orbital flyers? Best case, they are going to burn off the first time you hit orbit. Worst case they are going to snap off and get sucked into the engine, and cause a crash. Even just being there is going to generate a massive amount of drag.

It just needs a longer tail:

Personaly, I think that the Darkshroud is by far the worst, with Centurions a close second. Though Santa Claws takes the cake on the sillyness level.

Very nice with a longer tail! I dont understand the hate of the darkshroud. Could somebody explain their positions on it?

Does everyone hate Space Wolves now? I was just getting flak for our power armoured Marines being over-adorned. I just told the guy that ALL Marines are illustrated with that sort of detail, we just get it on the models!

As for some of the "wolfier" stuff, I do concur that things have gone towards the bizarre. I tried for so long to avoid getting TWC but eventually caved and now have 6. "Santa Claws" as he is named will never find a home in my collection, which is a shame since I would definitely have bought Logan solo if they released him for a comparable price to all the other Terminator HQs. I actually like the Stormwolf, having made the (head-canon) excuse that it must be a retro fitted Assault Ram. Still don't have one though, not for a hundred bucks with dubious usefulness.
