Nice to hear you're getting out of the funk. The DW stuff is looking great the alway you've approached the power armour in the above pic is just on another level.

Love the Slaughter priest conversion too, probably one if the best I've seen.

Cheers EDC. Painting on stream y'day afternoon was first time felt really good painting in a week or two so twas nice to get that buzz going again. very happy with how the balck armour is coming out. The back leg looks even better, its not quite so grey grey looking IRL - photos is a bit overexposed. Still you get the idea. may need one more glaze to make it super-smooth!
hoping to get the slaughterarcoflagelant painted up this weekend as he's my entry for the month comp....fingers crossed - lol

Love the scrollwork on the Venerable Dread, Soreluck (!!) is getting there too. Of all the brilliant miniatures in Overkill I still think he is my favourite.

real nice work there jan! They are definitely super cool sculpts. Loving the overall grit and dust of it all, as well as the muted purple wax purity seals. Always great work dude,

Cheers

Great work on both the dread and the DW IH model. I checked out part of your stream the other day and found it a little hard due to the muted audio track (and music a bit loud in the mix when not muted) but I was happy to hear how much you swear when at home.

Lol. Cheers Az. Yeah, still sorting out audio levels n that. Twitch mutes most music due to copywrite issues et al. Thx to my hdd throughly dying on me, all my own music is gone so having to use YouTube stuff for now.

You'd be a sour puss too if 90% of your body was replaced with bionics lol. Sorrlock gets hit by a Dark Eldar haemonculus weapon prior to joining the Deathwatch.

Great stuff as usual Januine!

Cheers AoV. Aye - Soreluck's fluff story was a bit of a gem. Fun fig to paint too. Gryx will be next but only after I've cleared what's on my desk now. Dunecrawler, Inq brute, morticians, librarian, DW ven dread et al!!! I'll get there ......eventually!!!

And finally onto the Inq brute. Ajax the strangler in a past life before he was turned into a chrono gladiator and then later further mutilated and lobotomised by the admech at the insistence of ordo machinum inquisition Danse. Hopefully get some good progress done on him later today on stream

Man your metals look so nice. If you don't mind my asking how did you achieve the look of his left arm and shoulder guard?

Cheers man. Three layers of drybrushing over black basecoat. Warplock bronze, followed by a more patchy one of gehenna' gold and finally a light drybrush of runefang. Once that's all totally dry - nice wash of nuln oil. That's basically it. I add in more stains, highlights, effects etc later on after everything else is done.

He's a conversion of the free slaughterpriest fig that came with the new white dwarf. Not really into AoS so decided to give him a lick of the grimdark

Cheers folks glad you like big bad Ajax712. The more I work on him and as his backstory grows as I put paint down.......kinda beginning to feel sorry for the big lunk........even though he was a sumpborn serial killer!!!! Anywho, very very quiet on stream tonight but got a fair bit more done on Ajax. Worked on his skin for the most part and then made a start on the armour trim.
